Well I do not have a nickname these days but my late school years and for about the following ten years I was know as "Harry". There is only person now that still uses that name but do not bump into them much at all these days. So! I hear you ask - why Harry? The name was given me by my P.E. teacher in the last couple of years at school as he despaired of me .   It all stems from one occasion when he said that I was as totally useless as Harry Worth- mind you he had a point as P.E. and me did not go together at all. As one of my friends in my class had the surname Harrison and he got called Harry, my official nickname became " Harry H "

Never had any dye near my hair James. Blondes may have more fun, but my blonde friend has more bad luck than anyone else I've ever known, and she's dizzy Smile

That's an interesting one Vince. I remember when I joined the police one of the training Sergeants always called me Joni, my surname at the time was Mitchell, but that only lasted throughout my initial training course, and meant nothing at all when I got married Smile

bear"..after him and Sue moved up here from California....but dad always called me Kemosabe...after the Lone Ranger's Indian buddy....and it meant white friend"....I've had various ones through the years....none really stuck to long with me though.  Now about this thing on "cornhill" I found an Englaish place name web site of defintions and origins of the name...they seem to think that "cornhill" was an place where there were corn mills way back when and people could take thier goods there to be ground. But the Native Americans also associate it ....with the Mother Goddess "fertilty".....as in the "Corn Moon" of September and harvest.and between them....you come closer to the true understanding of "cornhill" and being an early street in Boston, Massachuesetts...it has an puritan kind of  "harvesting" of people's souls through redeemtion of one's faults....the local prison was in the area way back when...but if became famous by way of the bankers of the day...as many an "cornhill" is associated with wealth also.

bear....after they moved back up to Oregon.  Really bad posting tonight. Tonight is George Noory's birthday, so it's talk radio... listening to see who his suprise guests are. He' s   younger in years then I am, but his birthday is before mine also.,,,I have seniority on him. Someone one doesn't want me to mention Keith and his calling me "shur-bear". I wonder how many times I have to say it before it stays in the post.

Shall we go for number three?...Keith use to call me "Shur-bear"...he kept an newspaper receipe I wanted with "Keep for Shur-bear" written on it in the margrin that I still have. So what's up with not wanting me to post that?..if I may ask. They named Heather's middle name "Kay" after me...as I babysat for Sue while she was in delivery.
