Evening James, we've been to Skipton, we parked a couple of miles out of the town and walked in on the canal towpath. Very nice it was too, we had a lovely pork pie from the celebrated pork pie establishment Smile

I see he's back again Wink

Its been a lovely Day here as well, we just went out for lunch with friends in a nearby village,

I bet your walk was lovely Ruth, we always park way out of towns and walk in. Especially Taunton.

Evening Pat, we find it easier parking outside than struggling to find an overpriced spot in the town. York is the worst, it costs a fortune to park in the city all day, but they have an excellent park & ride, free parking and just a couple £'s for the return bus ticket. Which is free if you have a bus pass but we haven't - yet Smile

We walked passed the Black Horse today James, I don't think we've ever been in though. We sat in the canal basin to eat, watching people making a right old mess of manoeuvring the barges into mooring bays.

Thanks John, we're going to a place called Taynuilt on Loch Etive not far from Oban, we were there in 2010, it's lovely.
