Hi James, I missed that in Shirley's post. Yes I do recall Cathy calling Ron the Lurker now you mention it. It's a shame she doesn't call in and see us anymore.

Ah tis true!...CathyML did call me the 'Lurker' because I admitted to 'lurking on POE' watching what was going on.

And lets not forget our dear departed Peter who called me 'Leg End Arry' after traveling Pastor Nigel James referred to me as the Legendary Ron Brind whilst with a group of American Musicians called 'Third Day' who did the C S Lewis Tour in Oxford with me.

See:  http://www.cslewisinoxford.com/?p=67 and click on the link: http://nigeljames.typepad.co.uk/nigels_notes/2007/05/a_truly_memorab.html

And if you want to see who they are take a look at: 'Third Day' https://www.thirdday.com/

T/L Peter Evans for those who may not have met him, a really nice guy.

I remember your mentioing the C. D. Lewis Tour way back when Ron.

It's Kemo...which means "white" which is also my maiden name. We have pictures of me around 3 or 4 years old...shows how my temper showed up in the face of injustice. While I kept my hands to myself, I look like I'm about ready to "punch" someone out. Probably my older sister..she use to like to play.."handicapped", and hook her arms around my neck and make me drag her all over the place, with her weight full on me...and I'd cry as she'd do this to me for hours at a time... until dad would come along and stop it. One reason I was closer to my dad back then, but then again...he ended up doing some things being his daughter that might as well said I don't exist also. I see at times where he wasn't very fair to my mother either. Such is life...it's not very fair at times.

Kind of like this camper thing going on right now. It's either fix it up..or let it go ..but I don't to do things on my own, or maybe I should say I'm not sure my talents are good enough in repiaring it. But I have decided it needs some things done...it needs new front jacks to raise and lower it..and it needs the repairs done to the outside so it's sealed shut all over..I'd like solar light panels on the outside of it..that can be turned off and on, for like an "night glow" more then an light. It needs rehooked to electricity again..and an small microwave oven in it..I have always wanted to resurface the bathroom to make it an shower where you can sit down on the toliet and use an hand held shower head...plus I wanted an laundry chute from inside the bathroom to the outside back with an hamper that can be used and can be removed from the outside... for putting the dirty laundry in...and out of our way. So it stays more organized on the inside. Finally I wanted instead of an cargo unit on topof the camper outside...the roof raised to be sealed and room to store things from the inside of unit celiing...the idea of trying to take an ladder up outside in bad weather just turns me off at my age. It needs to be big enough to store two sleeping bags and two duffle bags, and folding camping type chairs that are made out of light weight material, maybe an extra card table. I've also thought of side camper table storage also. the thought of fighing with the guys to help me do all this doesn't turn me on..in the least. But it kind of cures an lot of things that would elminate some of the problems in campers. It of course has an queen bed area, and table area folds down into an full bed and an bunk bed above that..that folds up half way for storage if you don' t use...but the storeage is pretty small. I am thinking nothing less then an club cab pickup when it comes time for that part of it...and one that can hold coolers with our food in it, though we have an refrigerator in the camper also. If it were just my hubby and I going down the road, we could buy our food unless we were in an remote area....to many people come up missing for being alone in remote areas these days. I've adored this camper, and I have fond memories of it. When I was working retail..I use to get off work, and we'd put my son in his infant seat asleep and go over Mt. Hood to the Deshutes River and park in one of the side parking spots, it takes about maybe hour or so...not longer getting there, we'd then go to sleep and get up early in the morning and go fishing while I made breakfast.  I usemy cooler filled with warm water to give my son and play time bath...pull it to the back door and let it drain whe he was done...we always used the gradable camper soap bubbles, and then I'd sit him in his play penby his dad an get my pole out and I caught the biggest fish I'd ever fished for there one morning.  By 11 am we'd be headed back to our place/town so I could work an 5 pm to  closing workshift that night. It's was nicely doable for an weekend job...cause I ususally got the next day off. But anyway...I am hoping I can fix it up, but  don't need an lot of expense and trouble doing it. My camper...with tilt out table area, same floor plan is now $17,900...our camper is paid off, has been since the day I bought it to go with his new pick up truck for an Christmas Present one year. But I don' t know, people tell me, let it go and buy an tralier to haul...though we have an boat, and you could only haul it withan camper/pickup set up according to our laws here...you can only haulone thing attached to your bumper going down the road. I like the idea of how easy it was to just jump in the thing... and take off down the road. Wecould stop anywhere to sleep an bit and get up and have soemthign to eat no matter where we parked it an take off again. Not unhooking and hooking things up, no looking for extra long parking places...I'll be working on that one for some time now on. I go, getting ot be an long thread.
