You are in the right area but the very first clue will help you now ( plus a language dictionary for the right language will help )

I do not want you to have a bad night so one more clue is that you are looking for someone no longer with us and his passing has left a huge gap in the world of rock.

Ronnie James Dio ?

My Italian isn't great but I think Dio means God in Italian.

  The Voice of Rock.

Ronnie James Padavona changed his name to  Dio ( Italian for God ). This may have been because his grandmother said he had a gift from God or it may have been  he copied the name from Johnny Dio a member of the Mafia. Who Knows?

He is credited with making popular the rock symbol the " Horns of the Devil" . This hand gesture widely used by rock fans does have many meanings in different cultures, so care would be required where it was displayed.

For someone who was physically so small his voice was so powerful- he did not have any formal voice training but he did put this down to correct breathing he learnt when learning the  trumpet.

           Favourite tracks?

           Heaven and Hell

And all the Fools sailed Away

           Last in Line

           Holy Diver

oh Stargazer  and many many more.

( sorry gone on a bit- tis the wine and don't slurp that very often )

I looked at him yesterday, but it wasn't until you mentioned a dictionary for another language that the penny dropped with Dio.

So I guess it's my turn now, I'll be back tomorrow Smile

I was the subject of a very iconic but very controversial photograph of the 20th century.

The photo was taken in the 1920's and when published was accompanied by a one word headline.
