Ruth Snyder also known as Ruth Brown Snyder.The photo was taken while Ruth was sitting in an electric chair and the electricity was running through her body. The headline was "Dead ! "

The camera man had the camera covertly attached to his ankle and took the picture using a remote cable which was hidden in his pocket.

I think it was a Frenchman, but as yet I don't have a name without looking it up.

  This is nothing I am clued up on but I would not be surprised if it was not some sort of photographic reconnaissance. ( goodness knows if I spelt that right )

Was it the German Naval bases ? I'm guessing the date would be 1939.

Thanks John. I'm a bit of a WWII navy fan. I started off very young with all Douglas Reemans books about the North Atlantic convoys and my interest progressed from there. I shouldn't be saying this to an air enthusiast but I've always prefered the sea. I applied to join the Navy but in the 70's women didn't go to sea so I ended up in the Police Frown

I'm back home tomorrow so I'll be back with a quizzy then Smile

I'm working on this. A bit like my Dad John, he lasted the same time in the RAF, they discovered he had a perforated eardrum and he got sent home.

Sorry for the delay.

The first workable prototype of me was designed by an Englishman in  1578, ultimately I never got beyond the planning stage at this time.

What am I ?
