They still are saying thunderstorms, but so far not here, mostly in eastern Oregon. We do have some rain but it's west of Portland. I just finsihed my morning watering chores...things are pretty limpy.dropy out there. I hope the water hose can revive them Just having the sunshine about 23 degrees cooler and no wind helps my attitude better. Watching the morning news, so best get back at it. Have an good day. |

Hood, and over in west Portland and along the coastal mountains they had 3,856 ligthening strikes from about 2 pm to 6 pm" news" Weather alert was for Hood River County..Nothing hurt so far, any small fires have been put out..suppose to be the same but lighter tomarrow and they they leave. Been working on this package for Judy whom lost her house and everything in it...from the fires couple weeks ago in Washington State. Last I heard she was looking at an rental house to move in near Cashmere, Wash...she was able to get an partime job at Wenatchee Walmart Store. I decided since she lost everythiing to give her more then just an gift card, which I just returned from buying it...but I'm sending her some cookies/breads/cakes to bake and the equipment to do that along with ornaments to make, and Christmas Craft Book, covers an bit of everything from using natural materials to making decorated tree trimmings, Christmas Dinner...an nice ladies jacket I found today, and an few inexpenisve decorating items and plates, for her table and coffee table...so at least she will have something for Christmas this year. So I best get to finishing tht project off. Talk to you later on.

Of course the heavy muggy air of all these storms hasn't probably helped to much. Nurselaw suppose to come over and we are going out to hunt down material for her to make my brother an quilt/blanket for his Christmas present. I think though she should buy her own sewing machine for making it, not use mine...if it's even working correctly. Kind of like an guy having an basic set of tools around the house. Cloudy here, but I see an brightness coming through them just the same. I think I will kiss the garden goodbye for this year.......except for the tomatoes...whihc are not that big. Everything looks like it's been through hell in my yard in reguard to plants. So off I go..tra la la...have an good day everyone. |
