I walked my four miles this morning...yes, the doctor doesn't think I'll have the ups and downs I was expereincing prior. I'm way behind now in losing the weigth I needed to lose..hope I can make the dead line as to the weight I need to lose before those next lab tests. Hubby and I walked an additional two miles last night. Octoberfestis this weekend at Mt. Angel, but might not go...I simply can not break my diet. I'm already starving to death..but it sure didn't make me feel good last weekend to eat an meal and gain four pounds from it...it has taken me the entire week now to get rid of that alone. You know how Octoberfests are.... beer and susages..I usually go there every year to help out the Senior Citzens center...anything they sell goes for thier yearly funds to help them in the area. The ventors are another thing. After the festival it's like an small quaint village without people to buy at thier shops the rest of the year. I generally by some kind of craft work from them..aprons, blankets, novelties and then handmade soap from the monestary up on the hill there...then my lunch and get out of all the people and let them celebrate. Some times go to the church also and pay my respects. Suppose to be 90 degrees here this weekend. They usually have thousands of people there also. I guess I go an read my book someand see what else I can get into..I'm watering my tall trees...for lack of rain..decent good rain..not an bunch of sprinkles only...Sheila tells me the same thing...entire tops of her trees burnt leaves, hope we can keep the trees alive. Simply to hot this year...even in 2 day segaments...Oregon weather is not Arizonia/California/ back east type weather. I stopped going into my backyard..there's no joy in it with burnt everything going on..esp all my summer flowers. My garden burnt to, no green beans this year..still hanging on the vines, burnt to an crisp. I can't afford the fancy grocery store prices for them fresh. It's simply an manner I go without. So the grocery stores are not losing an dime when I can grow my own food. Just I eat better. Talk to you all later on. |

Facebook and kiddie games go on tablets..not computers you work on. He says they account for over 50 per cent of most computer problems he handles. Now that I believe Shirley and I suspect your posts will now be a little easier to read! lol |

It's certainly a darn sight cheaper buying a bottle of wine from Tesco and sitting on our balcony than it is buying two drinks in the pub |
Ron Brind Posts: 19041 Joined: 26th Oct 2003 Location: England | Posted at 08:24 on 12th September 2014 Sounds like my sort of evening Ruth. We have done the same from various hotel balcony locations, especially in Jersey watching the sea roll in, kinda therapeutic. Hi to all... |
