Hum, I feel cheated tonight...I bought an box of Kebblers "PIta" oven baked crackers..it says on the back..official Heisman Weekend Tailgate Party....10 winners will receive a trip for two to New York City for an Heisman weekend celebration with past Heisman winner, Desmond Howard. Grand prize entry is between 8/18/14 and 10/31/14. Find the code inside package and enter at KFR.com/heisman. I've looked all over this box inside, and even dumped the contents out on the table and never found any "code" so far. They never said if the code was limited to so many boxes sold. Anyway, I doubt I could jet off to NYCin the upcoming months anyway....just I would of liked having the option to win something as I don' t usually win anything.

I walked my 6 miles today...and my feet are sore...I think I'd just as soon as lose three pounds tomarrow, but doubt will come about either. Have an good evening. Think I'll see what books I have to read. Lightly misty rain outside in some places.

Walked 6 miles Shirley, wow!

In 18 months Anna lost 82 pounds with weightwatchers so called 'pro-points'. She ate anything she fancied, ruled out nothing and has kept the weight off, she looks great! I would say simply that you have you to remain focused and eat ONLY the permitted amount, which in fairness was always a pretty substantial meal for her.

Have a look at the following link Shirley. http://www.calculator.net/weight-watchers-points-calculator.html for an idea of how helpful it is.

Good luck Shirley!

Evening James, it's been quite dark here all day with this fog. I've noticed that it's getting darker a lot earlier, definitely feeling a bit Autumnal.

Evening all, hope all is well- we had a lot of rain and lightning about 1:30 last night, missed it all and kipped all through it. Bright blue sky and well hot and sticky this afternoon.

Good evening Vince, the forecast says the storms are set to clear away. Glad you had some sun, it's been awful here.

Ron, I'm an old "weight watcher" from years back..I lost 90 pounds there before I gave it up pregnant with my son...they allow pregnant women to be in thier program now. Back in those days we received at the end of our weight loss an pin with tiny diamonds in them for every 10 pounds we lost...then of course "maintence" is for free...as long as you don' t gain over 2 pounds...you can attend as many meetings an week as you want to get "inspired" to stay on the program and keepyour weight off.  My problem I've found the last two times I joined it is that thier program has to many calories for my mentabolism these days.Following it these days I gain weightt..not lose it. I found out an bit about this at "curves"....thier program works on excerise, but also in high and low's  of dieting to stimulate you mentabolism again to burn fat. The problem these days is the weight scales. All of them that are the "memory" type scales. They get stuck and can't move on to the next lower weight. I've bought four different scales his last month...one never did work...the other three were stuck...and they instantly weigh you higher each time you step on the scales also. Which can involve getting on it an off it within one minute to find yourself thee pounds heavier then you started. No that is horrably discouraging to put out the effort for such problems.... particularly Weight Watcher classes...where they go each week with little stickers per how much weight you have lost. Which might be less then the two pounds your scale wants to hold back until you lose that much. Some leaders give little presents to those that lost the most weight that week...like some kind of new food to try out...or some handy thing to measure food with..or prepare it with.So it's an bit competion there.  These scales that don't work are making the ladies "furious" to say the least. When you get down in weight it can take an long time to even lose an pound sometimes. My ending weight there was 129 pounds....sounds likean lot of weight but I wore an size 8 in clothing...I am an big bone female also. To me it's the best program out there, but for me at my age and with my problems...I can't seem to be an part of it like I was when I was younger. It's infuriating ot me right now that I can't go in and weigh myself without buying my fifth scale to to that with. That is nearly $100 this month alone...and we just don' t have this kind of money right now. That is two things every pharmacy should have..free" medica" weightl type scales and free blood pressure monitor machine. Safeway use to have the BP monitor, but not since they remodeled the store. I have at least 11 more pounds to lose before supposedly Oct. 21st...but it's not going to be easy if I don't have an accurate way to weigh in with. I di dfind some things out last night..."heat" raises you blood glucose values...don't excerise in the sun/heat...it also can affect the readings during the day if your not active because of the heat also. Remember how I was mentioning how hard the heat was on me here lately...it really isn' t good for people's health. Neither is not drinking enough water...it takes 3 water molecules to one glucose molecule to wash the glucose out of your body in your urine.  I also found out that an daily 2 to 4 miles in walking is the "normal" for most people on diabetes meds. Which means if I want to "get with it" faster...I'll have to up the excerise in some way. Many people dislike the constant needle pointing tests, and your fingers do get sore...so the faster I can get it down and stablize it all the better. It's not just an matter of "sugar" either..it's carbohyrates also. Five grapes raised my blood glucose up 50 points, the crackers (6) last night 20 points. You got to stay on veggies first and fore most....followed by small amounts of protein..but not animal fat. Egg product, reduce fat cheese, non-fat cottage cheese.Sugar free Jello is an help..so is the "light" popcorn. Alcohol is out the door (sugar)..so is cigarette smoking...cause it messes up your internal oxygen supply...which again affects how you burn fat. It looks like I'm turning into an "night stalker/walker" as the season changes though being cloudy and maybe cooler might help me an  little bit..  I'm reading about Col. John Gibson this morning. I am beginning to think that it's the family "taverns" in the past that have made them the diabetics they are today. Esp. the Lawson's. A good many of them were also Native American affliated also. They have an high rate of diabetes...and I did some research on it...thier natural primative diet was four times higher in Vit B...and that's what they need to again. They use to make thier flour out of nuts...raw ones...the vitamins were still in them when they used to cook stuff, cause they baked an lot of stuff...like nut encrusted fishfor instance...grilled on cedar plant boards. Slits placed in chuck roasts..from buffalo...almost fat free meat...and onion bulbs inserted and then staked up to roast by the fire. Served with wild roasted veggies. Mostly carrots and greens. Nut flour was used with crushed berries over thier meat as gravy...most often blueberries or salmon berries...or blackberries. Flour has very little nutriment in it. This knowledge is what helped to introduce the "Paelo" diet.  Where your pie crust is made from all crush nuts and honey. Filled with cooked berries and looks like an tart. But anyway. Guys, get us some kind of button to shut off the "memory" so we can see what we truly weigh.
