OK..so how much is 20 marks in usa dollars?....this was an pension in the dissolution of the churches..era aroound 1520..  Let me know...and something else I am having an hard time dealing with 98 kg...I assume meaning killagrams (?) of weight....but how I find something over here in an measurement cup that equals it.  Any suggestions?

Hubby just lost his coffee pot...so it's like an God to him you know..so he's off this morning buying another coffee pot. Now if he'd just get an decent roast of coffee...I might be able to not have to down load it with sugar free coffee mate in order to have an cup. Shhh!...don' t tell him  I told you that.  I just walked 4 miles and to soon after breakfast I guess my blood Glucose is reading 168 this morning...that's high. One omega 3 egg on an pices of Sarah Lee toast (45) calories...and non-fat Greek Blueberry Yogurt..and half a cup of coffee, I spilled the other half, so tomarrow I start an new diet journal. I think they said that this could happen though if your under stress and th efour mile walk leaves me in "sweat" by the time I'm done, so probably stress? I gave my clothes away yesterday...all my best ones went to my sister's nieghbor "Mary" and my sister....I guess she insisted my sister call me and thank me.  She got about 10 pairs of fairly new blue jeans...two pair I didn't even know I had in my closet, hanging with new tages on them. I  gave most my fleece jackets to my sister yesterday, they literally hung off of me. I'm going to wing it the best I can until I'm stabalized in losing weight off clothes fromt eh thrift shops...but say...I got me an Columbia Sportwear zip jacket in perfect condition the other day for next to nothing. Scouts have an over-nighter in Oct.at Green River Campground for an small hike and I'm thinking of going maybe. It's up by Mt. Hood.  Get me out of the house and off somewhere different. The fire by Estacada I have an funny feeling isn't going to really be "out" until we have an good day of rain here. It's 40 per cent contained and has burned 4,300 acres since it started last week. I guess I go for now and do some munching on stool softeners and see if I can lose that 2 pounds by tomarrow. My back is hurting me...I'm not use to not having daily Bowl Movements. Something the nurses deal with everyday with the patients that they thought was pretty darn important to people's health. I drank what would equal 10 glasses of water yesterday....more then enough liquids. What an subject to be discussing on an Sunday morning...LOL. You have to appreciate the fact that I had an 5 gallon bucket in my linen store room at work one time that the nurses were laughing about...they said it contained enough "laxative" to do in most of the citizens in Portland for an day..maybe two days.. it was time to "let it go"...but where? Pouring it down the drain would do all the fish in the Columbia River no doubt also...for quite some time. Such problems we have.  Have an nice day...now starts an new week.  Trees tuned dramatically Red/yellow leafed yesterday with the heat/wind/smoke outside.

Shirley a mark was not an actual coin as far as I'm aware, it is an amount of money equal to 2/3rd of £1, which is roughly 66 pence in today's money. So 66p x 20 = £13.20 which is around $21.

Hope my maths are correct Smile

Just seen your other question Shirley, 98kg is around 215 pounds in weight, rather a lot to be measured in cups I think Smile

Evening James, I'm sure the driver will take your stuff. Our recycling/bin men are very good here, they never kick off if there's a load more than there should be.

Thank you Ruth..someone must of  been pulling our legs on the receipe for the baked zucchinni appetizers...maybe they meant when you get to 215 pounds your allowed to eat some of them..my computer guy said the last problem on the computer involved an receipe. I thought maybe it was something like an cup of them maybe. You made little spearsout of them and rolled them in Italian herbed bread crumbs and then baked them. Last winter I tried the same idea with some onions rings. It was hard trying to get the crumbs to adhere on the onion rings. Tasted OK though.  I made my fat free mayoniaise with chili sauce to dip them in for an bit of "snap" in taste. Sent some over to my brother and sister in-law to try out.

As for the Marks...I have no idea if that was an very good pension plan in 1530..1560 ad. maybe...for an clergyman. I suppose like today, it depends on what else you've had yourself involved with financially. How many help you with free eggs and milk and bread also.

I just finished up walking 5 miles total for the day.  Way under for the calories also today...say it's "popcorn" tonight!
