Good evening folks, had a rather sunny but chilly day today, sun was such that it was very awkward when driving towards it. Had a stop up at Newlands Corner ( unplanned ) so did not have any of the larger cameras just the compact and the view was looking straight into the sun so not much to show for that and the little wildlife station had loads of blue tits and great tits and sparrows but again the sun was too strong at the wrong angle so no shots to show for that and to cap it all as I walked up to the wildlife station I startled a woodpecker and it legged it ( well winged it ) so that was a blow out as well.

Good Evening

Had a laugh  today at the Hospital where Bern had to go for his blood tests ready for Monday.

The poor nurse didn't know what he was having done  or why he was there ,first it was his hip then his left Knee until Bern put her right ,it is his right knee, so she had to phone around and get all his info , She said she was just a stand in .thats NHS for you.   its a good job we laughed about it

Hope they get the correct knee Pat. Our youngest son is a nurse in charge of a ward in an NHS mental health unit. The tales we hear from him would make you cringe, that said he used to work in a private hospital and that was much worse, really quite frightening. Given the choice I'd take my chances with the NHS.

Have to agree Ruth and we would all miss it a great deal if it were no longer available.

Hi to all POEsters, hope all is well?
