Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 22:31 on 4th December 2014 Good morning..I've been an the Jewerly shop this morning...I'm playing around designing my own necklace right now. Hope to have it maybe by my 48 wedding anniversary in February.Since me wedding rings..I lost one diamond in it...has an bad mounting, I'm losing my points that hold in the diamonds..so I took it off...I'm thinking of using those diamonds perhaps in some way in this necklace and save us some money. So far they can't find me an big enough Blue Star Sapphire...I'll have an diamond mounted on top of that...and gold rope chain is what I like, but only one he had was well over $2,000..and as I told him...not of daily street wear these days. So he showed me one that was $110(on sale)...and I said how come it costs so much less?...he says the Gold is hollow inside. I couldn't believe they'd charge so much for something that's hollow inside. He says to me, it has an lifetime guarantee if it breaks, gets stolen or lost .Maybe that's what we all need..an life time guarantee?...heh? I should of asked him if they sell "toe rings" like that in the summer time...just joking. The wind stopped, and it's been raining off an on an pretty good clip. But it seems to know since we had that heavenly "discussion" of an talk yesterday to behave better. I just out right told that wind yesterday..keep it up and your gonna get "coal" nuggets for Christmas! I sent off one card so far...yes, my cards are way down these days..but th ecost is outrageous to send them over the pond..last time I was quoted big bucks most of the people aren't here to much any more in POE. I'll pass my immediate neighbors out their cards with an small box of Applets and Cotlets....little fruit confections, with nuts, without nuts, some dipped in chocolate , and others in different berry's and some of them sugar-free. Small boxes, but they don' tcost to much and are an little something extra this time of the year. I don' t know if I'll make cookies this year..I thought one dish of fancy decorated ones. You can get them on-line I see for $30 now also. WOW.. as they say. My thing here lately was finding the little " LeMax" Cedar Creek church..and I put it in hubby's room, his grandfather.. James Lawson was an member of the Bracken Baptist Church elders deciding on slavery issues...it was also their last meeting before they broke up for the Civil War...but his regular church was "Cedar Creek"...in Kentucky. They decided that it was up to God to tell these people if they had to stay slaves forever...and each man's " conscious" to what one felt individually otherwise in dealing with them..also subject to God's judgement someday. I woulkd find out it was "James" and his wife that came to me at the store when I was having problems about wanting my Sunday's off to be with my little son. We talked then some. He told me he had been an preacher in his younger days. I was about to get fired you know...I ended walking out instead with the Federal Govtwatching me and ready to prosecute the store up in Seattle..not on relgious convictions though..but they had an line set for taking them to court on abuse of women's rights in general. So I backed out..you have any idea how har dit would be for me to appear in SEattle from where I live with an small son...not easy. They told they the felt they's win the case and I'd be re-instated at back pay and full benefits...but I thought it over..and I felt, if they'd do it ot me to begin with..it might be an battle every time I wanted something that I had basically earned by seniority already anyway. Besides, I'd ran into the "union" that got into it where I had worked before also. I was an supervisor where I had worked and they remembered me, and they also were snotty bad to me because of that also. Snotty bad because they were an lesser union then the request I made to my administrator as to where my crew should go...which was the "Teamsters" Laundry union...for all the hospitals in Portland. I heard at one time the Hipsanics coming up from down south.. have caused it to go astray these days. But were they ever wild day sfor me back then. James told me not to worry, God would guide me, and I told him I was worried about losing my wages...he said I'd be helped...and was in ways. Hubby's sister sent me an few pictures and there he was in the picture...my hubby's grandfather. His wife's picture I took in and got xerox off and she showed up with an white "halo" completely around her body. I tell you somedays are strange ones indeed. But my little son quit his crying and hanging on me to not leave him..and I would hold him an rock him, and read him stories... and he regained his sense of security back again at his tender little age. It was something I felt I HAD to do..be with him more then I was back then working. I am "pyschic"...but he runs circles around me...I'd say he's an "Indigo" child of today. They are extremely senstive children. he can make decisions that are the right ones for humanity and never say why..but they are in the end..correct decisions. I must go for now. Downstairs is finished now in getting decorated also. Talk later on. |
