Is it a SD card in which case maybe the LOCK button has been moved. On the lomg flat side there is a small slide button which will lock the card from any activity like cancelling etc .. maybe that is the proble Failing that ... can you take the card out and put it your computer?? Then save ALL the pics to a file on the comp, put the card back in the camera and try to format it. That would effectively clear the card back to a blank card
