We just had a light covering of Snow this Morning,

went up the Sad House (Wetherspoons) for an hour , it was so noisey in  there , Because  in Chard is a family of six Sisters all born and bred  here  they meet up once a month and today was the day. its lovely to see them though, they are all  around my age,

Evening Pat Smile We got taken to our local Wetherspoons on Sunday by our son and family before they left. We've never been in before and I can safely say we won't be going in again. It was the worst Sunday lunch I've ever had. It was noisy with children running everywhere, the tables were not cleared. Dreadful place, we will be returning to our usual haunts for our food in future.

If your older Ruth...most restruants like if when you come in around 11 for an morning brunch... about 2 PM for lunch...when they kind of slow down from the busy lunch crowd....or about 4 pm onward for dinner before the dinner group starts coming in around 6 pm. You might have to put up with restocking things though after and before the next projected crowd, but it's not an bother generally. Other then that, its an pancake house that stays open during the night I'm afraid.. for ones with more quiet times to them. With our Elks lodge years, we use to stayto the lodge closing...and clean up the tables and set things up for the next day and go out to Shari's about 3 to 4 am in the morning as an group and eat breakfast, go home and sleep..from the function the lodge had held the night before.  Let the service people work at the food when they came in and took over. ..our help..helped them recover.... from large crowds doing this. Not to mention to much of an overload of people, they weren't staffed to deal with sometimes...or in the case of the yearly Hawaiian dinner...which was an big draw, decorations needed to be changed before the place opened in the morning.

Good morning...she brings up an good subject...with so many restruants cutting back or closing these days, it's hard to know where to eat. Things are also more geared to "take out" these days also...such as pizza parlors. I am working on my diet right now...trying to figure out what I can eat with an receipe I decided I wanted to try to make, am also back into reading the "mists of Avalon" and no, my copier/fax machine still isn't set up downstairs, I might have to move all the furniture around to set it up also. Ugh!  Cold and windy here..rain coming in, willbe glad ot see it...we need to see our snow levels drop though, and get more snow and half the rain right now. At any rate, I do not feel like going outside here recently. Dry, but if it were wet right now, we'd have icy roads...as night temps were down to freezing last night. It's winter...an dry one so far and the snow on Mt. Hood is according to the weather man last night 27 per cent of normal right now. Not good for this summer if it keeps up.

I go for now...take care.

It wasn't the restocking Shirley, I think they'd forgot to hire a chef, the food was lousy. Everything (except the very small portion of beef) was obviously out of the cheapest bag of frozen rubbish.

We'll stick with our usual place in future.

A  mention in the POE List for Good or Bad Service wouldn't hurt Ruth.

I can imagine what you have said and will give them a wide berth, if ever we decided to have a meal out that is!

Good afternoon everyone, the wind is picking up again.

Yes I'll do that Ron, I'm a bit busy at present but I'll certainly get round to it. I've already done Trip Advisor on Sunday evening.
