Afternoon everyone, it's bitterly cold here, not the sort of day to be outdoors, which is just as well as I'm waiting for a delivery.

it has been a glorious day here, we did a nice walk, but think it was a bit too far for Bern , so he will rest up the weekend as he has his final check on Monday,

Good morning everyone...I'm sitting here this morning posting to Judy, whose house burnt down last year in Washington State..person I sent all the Christmas stuff to also...she's telling us what she bought recently with the donations she's been getting...got herself an used recliner chair and new vaccum cleaner.  Apparently her daughter moved back into Brewster,  Wash. the one raising the horses. She's still having to make payments on the acreage they had bought for their orchards they were starting also...they to got burned into ashes. She had five acres of young trees they had put in and was going to be thier retirement income someday. But "grits" also, an older single lady bought her first house last year...with five acres of ground also ..between the three of us, we share ideas and what we are doing next.  We got an photo tour of re-modeling in her house...her house is two story, and the lower level is on flat ground outside. She just got back from an business trip. I'm one third of the way finished on the bookcase downstairs, I was covered again in brass cleaner and silver polish last night.  I took the tarnish of silver "coasters" last night. Brass candlelabra's  in the bathroom. Now I have to go back and wash the dust off the silk plants and one more casserole.chafe dish in silver edging and I'm finished. I generally only do this maybe once an year you know. I was reading to keep your silver from tarnishing to keep chalk inside of it to absorb the humidity in the room, but in this case the wood stove is down there, so it's not as humid as are most rooms in the house. Esp. in the winter time when the stove is used most the time also. You wanna know how warm it is here right now, I bought three tulips breaking buds earlier this week from outside the grocery store, brought them home and they are now in full bloom..five days later.  Like where's winter at for this year? We never use to have bad ones anyway, but we had something for an winter season, ususally rain..sometimes light snow flurries, sometimes the kids got an extra day off of school because of snow...nadda so far this year. At any rate, I guess I best get going for now.  I'm getting ready for an cheese fondo "Valentine's Day" this year, but the neighbors and us are going out to dinner also here soon. I've got hickory smoked turkey sausage, and rye dill bread for dippping, fresh salad... and maybe strawberries in Chocolate planned so far. Talk to you all later on....another weekend coming up.
