Sorry for the mispells...from some reason I came in to "Foxfire" instead of goggle, so I wonder who tapped into my computer as well.

Don't worry about it Shirley; a few toys were thrown out of prams, simply because I deleted posts as moderator as was necessary that they thought should have remained. Plus the fact that one member in particular was never going to be allowed to continue to follow me around and antagonize me in particular as he did.

They need to understand that they do not run the POE forum and then we can get back to a family friendly forum with useful and interesting posts, such as happened yesterday in the thread 'Enlarged Photos'.

For a full explanation from POE about this see the post in the 'Famous Obituaries' thread http://www.picturesofengland.com/forum/Off-Topic_Chat/5944/20

Hopefully it's now water under the bridge and things will return to normal.

After that.....Hi to all POEsters wherever you are, have a great day.

Good morning!...beautiful one I might add...been watching the President here in town, even he said he loved coming here because of the weather and the state being so green this time of the year, all the flowers are out...particularly the bright and pretty azaleas.  People wanted to come out and see him, but he was so deeply heavily police guarded....all our most important state political people were there also, so it's understandable. You know, people here voted for him back when he started, they had had it with tax raises and corrupt Government on every level,  the business scene in gneral and pocketing going on amoung the CEO's. They were hoping he'd change that. I felt that way also. Oregon really wasn't going places with it going on either. They claim astrology wise, that right now we have the abilty to really change our future for the better(worldwide)...and take an better path then we've done in the past. Not that in the past we didn't resolve some very serious Karma we had to go through also....and get through it also. I've had my walk for the day...I check you other forums from time to time, but not the obituary all the time. For one thing, if's its an really important person I'm going to know anyway. All these long postings I do, take time, so it don't leave me to much time to get into the other posts. With that, I better get back to work on the garage and hope it's done once an for all after this weekend. I started my daily walking again also. The diet is coming up and I bet my AIC tests aren't as good as they ought to be here in the month of June...because of not being strickly on the diet, but it so stressful for me at times, I really work betterat things doing them the way I want..being shaping up over the summer months better then trying to do it in winter...when for one thing I'm writing. Here pretty soon I'm going to summit to you the questions I have about England that I can't seem to find any information about...maybe someone can help lead me to the answers. I go for now.... hug your ladies this weekend, it's " Mothers Day". Have an good day also!

One of them concerns Thomas of Lancaster...Duke of Clarence, they say he had no children, but its very well documented his illigitamate son fought beside he's father when he died in battle. Since they could marry at 16...sometimes as young as age 9 in some cases and he died at something like 34 years old...I'm wondering whom he married...they are saying he's our Lawson lineage of Thomas Lawsson/Lewsson. Since he went to Belgium I believe he probably married someone from in the royla lines in area...but take an look at Robert of Bethune legacy...it's amzing so many royal Eurpoean lines spin off him...he lived very near the Percy's in Northcumberland area also. But noted well in the southern part of England also...along with George Planegent...an we all know how Henry VIII exterminated his entire family pretty much.

Randy just brought me over an "Cherry Cobbler" Joyce says its "diabetic" also, she says Randly sure does like it, an it's pretty tasty alright.. It's all in the kind of cherries you buy..this is filling is 30 calories per one third of an cup. Sent along the receipe with an Mother's Day card. He was just about done with replacing the decking and can go on with the pool lining after that.

Hubby took an pick load to the dump this morning of mostly food my winter rodent had spent eating on apparently. It was such an mess out there, we took an snow shovel and dumped it all and disinfected the entire area...so there went hundreds of dollars in my pantry....then he came back and took another pickup load of things to the Goodwill also. Since then, he's put his Christmas present together...the woodshop table that matches the BBQ...black and stainless steel. It's been now, two days of 12 hour long constant working days for the both of us, but neighbors coming over to take an look at the way things should of been an very long time ago...approving it.  Still not done, but we made at least half of the garage pristine clean and organzied. I'll work on the rest next week most likley. Have my animals to get inside for tonight so talk later on.

So what's a 'Cherry Cobbler' then Shirley?

Obviously some sort of pudding I guess, but 'Cobbler' - I thought that referred to a river 'Fish' or as we would say here in the UK a load of 'Cobblers' slang for a load of rubbish.

Maybe I should qualify that slang word 'Cobblers' Shirley.

It refers to say a 'pile of rubbish', rather than as I intended verbal nonsense.

Cobbler..desert with fresh fruit usually covered with an crust of some kind, ususally has an lumpy texture to it all. I don't know where she buys the "Comstock" sugar-free Cherry pie filling at in these parts. Oops..she calls it an "Cherry Crisp"..pardon me.

I ended up getting an new car battery for my  Mother's Day yesterday. But it's going to be worth it... as I find out we have plenty of activites this month also. He startsoff this next weekend with Scoutcapes...so asked my sister if she'd like to come infor an couple of days and be with me. Tonight we go an deliver my youngest grandson's newly fixed "Tablet" fo rhis birthday present. I had promised him my computer also...if I got an new one. I have 15 days now until the security on it has to be renewed also. But anyway...we have coming up two graduations on the same day, followed the next day by sissy's ear operation phase again also. My son's birthday. Flag Plant for memorial day up at Williamette National Cemetary. Scoutcapes is an major event in Scouting also.Still have the other half of the garage also...and my diet...I'm off it and subsisting on ewhatever I can shove in my mouth on the run. Daughter in-law is trying to get back into college over summer if she can also. veryone looks tired around here also. I came home last night to find some pretty flowers on my doorstep but nothing as to whom left them there either.  I'ts rain for an couple of days...and my sister said that Mary says "Happy Mother's Day" to me also, her neighbor friend. It's gonna be an busy month when you get right down to it. We ended up going out to dinner last night...had my Salmon, but it looked like it had been an busy day for them yesterday...they were out of my grilled veggies.  They were giving out red roses to the mother's while they lasted yesterday. I best get going for now..as the day goes quickley and so does this season of "Dancing with the Stars" tonight also..I'd guess it will be over in three more weeks for this Season...so it's getting down to the nitty gritty of dancing from now on. Best go for now. Have some shopping to do. Take care everyone!

Thanks for the explanation Shirley, but crust on 'fresh fruit'? How does that work, is the pie 'browned' under a grill for example?

It resembles (I think) what we might refer to as say 'Apple Crumble' or any fruit Crumble I guess, but the fruit is cooked not fresh as you suggest.

Maybe I am misunderstanding?

Hi to all POEsters, hope you are well...
