I have yet to travel the Grand Canyon into the Desert South-west and over toward Oklahoma, but I've been all over otherwise, and into Canada...Canada's got some really pristine area's also. I really like the "history" with these places. Every place has something to say for itself. I've been looking an England's Castle most of the night, and wonder how long it will take me to see over 900 picutres if I have to always start out on page one and picture one. I can though easily see that it would like most places take more then once to get it all in for the "whole" picture...as an tourist. Maybe I should explain what I have seen, an old Native American lady told me one time I had an "special" talent for discription one time. Often times as "funny" as it is informative. Kind of like when we were in the middle of Wyoming, high, flat, scrub brush occasionally, and I see this dirt road off in the distance for miles on end. Looked like it came right up to the freeway. It was "sunset" as we were going across country and I was looking out my car window....I saw an old truck turn off ahead of us and I thought, "Marlboro Country" where you see the cowboy riding off into the distance with his cigarette in his mouth on his horse. I waited to see the old truck going down that dity road with an trailof dust,, it never WAS...to this day I am wondering WHERE the truck went to, as I saw no road where he could of turned off, no house, no underground compound, I nearly made everyone in the car stop to go back and find out where the truck went to, but I didn't think they would appreciate that one...going 70 MPH. So....the sun "set" calmly over the horizon and for some reason I feel "cheated" of what was the perfect panoramitic "view". to end the day. Maybe next time? . |

I lived in Sydney for awhile many years ago Wolf but I never made it to the "outback", the link you sent showing all those beautiful pics make me regret not getting there more than ever. What a beautiful country you live in! As most of you know I live in Salem Ma and below is a link where you can see a bit of what it looks like. I think there are even some pictures of Salem at Halloween, the major festival for the entire city, people come from all over the world for the month long celebrations. |

In fact, I am not a sports fan at all, except for Polo which I was introduced to many years ago and fell in love with! |

I'm a big Yankee fan but the rivalry between the two can get crazy!!! I love polo too!! Any equestrian sport for that matter. I've been riding since I was four and horses have been in the family for generations! |
