Just under two hours to go before we move on to our next whistle stop destination.  Anyone got information, stories, photos that they would like to add before we leave??

We can leave the Isles of Scilly by helicopter or ferry - destination Penzance.  Vince has already included a photo of the ferry at St Mary's and Ted has added the helicopters coming into Penzance over St Michael's Mount.

As we are arriving in CORNWALL this will be the next leg of our whistle stop tour.  We have two days to explore where-ever you would like to visit.  Looking foward to seeing lots of photos, experiences, stories, places to see, what to do, where to eat/drink and be merry.  I am sure lots of people have holiday memories of CORNWALL, so do please share them with us hereSmile

Well I have checked out all the information on POE, places, maps, accommodation, attractions and have decided on my itinerary for tomorrow.

I'll be leaving Penzance and getting onto the A39 to Truro, looks like a nice place to visit

As it seems to be a day for history I rather fancy staying at the 18th Century Mill House or the Tudor English County House - Tredethy House.

So what are your plans???

Goodmorning all virtual tourists, I hope you have woken bright eyed and busy tailed, and will share your planned visits with the rest of us.

This thread is really designed to help everyone see what each county has to offer the visitor in the way of attractions, towns, beaches, scenery, unusual places, great central places to stay in, to eat, to do, to see.  So please share your photos, experiences, stories, favourites with the rest of us.

We have two days in Cornwall (today Saturday and tomorrow) so do add your information quickly before we move on.

Can anyone tell us about St Michael's Mount which we virtually visited last night?? Or Truro & Tintagel that I plan to visit today??

Otherwise have a wonderful day, enjoy touring around Cornwall using the LINKS at the top of this page.  Have funSmile

Truro Cathedral

Good morning fellow travelers.  Truro is a good place to start today.

You can't miss the Truro Cathedral when visiting there. Majestic and promenent as the heart off the town. The Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is an Anglican cathedral. It was built in the Gothic Revival architectural style, and is one of only three cathedrals in the United Kingdom with three spires. Construction began in 1880.
