"Much better again!! However this would possible benefit from a narrower aperture to get a bit more of the subject in focus. This will be done by shorteing the shutter speed ie 1/500 down to 1/100 or increasing the apperture f3.5 upto f8 and this should be explained in the manual, but definitely improving, keep it up. Lets see if you can hit 4's consistently and hopefully a 5 or two. And yes please tell us more about the subjects. " - Dave John(21st August 2011)

"Good suggestion there from Cathy, also this might have beeen better with camera held in 'landscape' and a wider view maybe. But as said before nothing will help you better than practise. Take several shots of each subject with different angles etc. I expect your camera will have come with a cd of instructions, and will probably contain an editing software program of sorts. Give it a whirl but nake sure to make copies of any images so you refer back to the. I always work on a a copy in Photoshop. " - Dave John(21st August 2011)

"Good effort here but the focus is on the far petal, should be on the nearer one, or at the base of the petals. But you have isolated one flower which is much easier to view, Could be you have found the close limo=it of the lens??" - Dave John(21st August 2011)
