Heading up to the big city today to pick up my son      .

We have freezing fog at the moment, so hoping that it warms up enough to burn it off before we head out.

Eight inches of snow in the east overnight and more expected tonight. Gatwick closed and/or flights delayed, M23, M25, M40 all have problems! Probably more roads closed up north also. Like I said yesterday, a few inches of snow and the UK stops!! Right now the sun is shining, part blue sky and clouds, chilly but still beautiful England.

It is cold here!!! The forecast is calling for 24 inches or more of snow tonight through Sunday morning. Time to bring in the firewood and head to the store. It's going to be a madhouse out there!! Tongue out

Yes, we're supposed to get 10 + or - inches tonight and tomorrow here in northern Virginia, which means I'll be home baking cookies instead of shopping and going to a movie (maybe on Sunday?).

Brutally cold (minus 2 windchill factor), but beautiful and sunny. I think Boston has just managed to escape the snow storm the rest of my east coast friends are getting. We may have up to a foot on Saturday but then it's suppose to be sunny again.

Barbara, that amount of snow is unusual for your area isn't it?

True, Diana.  We don't get that much snow very often.  But VDOT says they are well prepared for this one so that will help.
