Weather here in Wheatley, Oxford? More snow overnight (about 3 inches) although it does appear to have turned to sleet now, possibly rain. We can but hope! I still think we are over the worst of it, for this year anyhow!

Very witty George, but I would not say they were Bad Winters, they used to come here Iin the theatres on the Piers during the summer season,I must admit I did not go to see them but apparently they were quite popular;

Getting back to the thread Here in the most easterly part of Gt. Britain it is very grey and VERY cold, I have the lights on and I am soon going to put the fire on besides the central heating, but no snow and Spring is on the way Daffodils will soon be blooming!!!

I have been able to visit every year, as I get terribly home sick. I still have my English accent too. Can't take that away from me.

As for the weather, we had rain. Yes, I said RAIN. It was GREAT! Short lived but great. It melted the snow that has been hanging around since before Christmas.

RAIN  !

More snow last night as Ron's above, and with the governments cutbacks in salt usage, the A4 west of Reading looked like it hadn't been touched, though the council said it was, which is supposed to explain why it was all snow and ice. Reporting this to Radio Berkshire's travel, snow and ice became slush when they reported it, but was nothing of the sort. Having driven every day since last Weds along the A4 for 30 miles each day, today was the worst trip, no doubt thanks to the government salt cut backs in spreading to the point it has no effect and might just as well not even bother at all.
