You could've worn a bathing suit on Christmas day, then New Year's it was a hard frost for 4 days in a row. The last several weeks have been lovely - high 60s to low 70s F during the day, (like Summer in England ) mid 40s at night. Most of our weather here comes in from the Pacific, but now we're getting what you usually get back east, Krissy, an Alberta clipper or as the weather people like to call it a cold Canadian air mass. lol I feel like such a wimp reporting that we're having a hard frost again the next 3 nights, especially since it will probably be back up in the 60s by Saturday. The storm system across most of the US right now is one for the record books. It's 2,000 miles across (Oklahoma to Connecticut) and deep snow, freezing rain and gale force winds affecting 100 million people. 70% of the land mass of the lower 48 states are covered in snow, and as of last week 49 of 50 states had some snow, even a little mountaintop in Hawaii. The only state that didn't have any snow was Florida. Sometimes I miss living back east, but not this time of year. |
