I have to drive to Tucson for work on Friday and wasn't looking forward to rain, so I'm glad it's holding off til the weekend. Hopefully it will clear out on Sunday so I can take Denzil for a hike. I'm off Monday for the holiday we have here called Presiden'ts Day. woo-hoo!!! I expect it's starting to feel a bit spring like in Old Blighty? Pat Trout posted a snow drop picture and I just wondered if they're this year's. From hanging around here the last two springs, I'd say spring comes a bit earlier over there than it does here.

Yippeeee, Spring really is on the way in beautiful England!

Here in the Midwest, we went from ice storms and temps in the teens or below (Farhenheidt--sorry don't speak Celcius too well!) to temps in the 50's and 60's. It's wonderful, hopefully spring is early, but probably not, I'm sure it will get cold again before actual spring. On the vegetation side--I'm noticing a few ground cover type things, like clover, etc, starting to green up a little where it's in a sheltered spot. The trees are still afraid! Encouraging to know there will be blooming things when we arrive next month! |

We're going back and forth between 30's and 50's (F) and frost and tornadoes. Crazy stuff. I can see the shoots coming up for our Grape Hyacinths and maybe the crocuses, but that's mostly it so far. |

High thin clouds and no wind, but you bundle up leaving the house in the morning (about 40°F) and then it's the high 70s in the afternoon. No rain in the forseeable future, but we could use it.
