Right now, 18 ºF and sunny. Not a snowflake in sight.

Last night we had high, high winds, and it rained dirt. Anyone living in the desert knows what I mean. I'll be out cleaning windows once the frost is thawed.

Here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we were in the 40's this morning and will be in the 70's today.  Nice and sunny.  Will be a wonderful day and night.  Tonight will be in the 40's again.  No rain or snow in sight.  Will be in the 30's in the mornings and 50's and 60's and sunny all week.

Laughing LOL...I sound like a weather forecaster now.

Nice to see Dolores!  Hi Dolores and happy new year.

Looks like you've had some pretty dismal weather over there.  Our weather's been perfect for the last 2 weeks - today they're calling for 80° F, with not a cloud to be seen and not even the slightest hint of a breeze.  It's actually HOT in the sun.  Still chilly at night though, about 45° F.

Love all the expressions for rain.  We used to say, "nice weather for ducks," (when I was a kid in Pennsylvania, where it actually rained once in a while).  On really cold, wet nights, my dad used to say, "It's not a fit night fer man nor beast."

Happy New Year to everyone.  Happy to see Dolores again and also Ruth.

You American girls correct me if I'm wrong. "Chucking it down" said here sounds like an eating contest and "heaving down" sounds like what a stevedore might say unloading a ship. Whaddya think, Girls?

Los Angeles (100 miles northwest of here) is supposed to be sunny and warm at 81 deg. today for the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl football. So here it will probably be sunny and 77 or 78 degrees. No wind.  But I'm sure it will start the rainy season soon unless this is a drought year.

Hope everyone had Happy Holidays!
