So what if the mighty Google were to come gunning for Pictures Of England, or any other big player for that matter like Flickr, Amazon, Facebook, YouTube, EnjoyEngland and so on. I wonder would they be able to maintain the family friendly, socially very acceptable, informative, brilliant website referred to as POE now? The gains are obvious, a huge marketing outlet, an audience that so far has not been exploited to anywhere near it's maximum. Each and every one of our pictures submitted are available to a greater audience, and therefore become the target of would-be purchasers. Yes, you could sell your pictures! Hotels, Guest Houses and B&B's alike would clamour for inclusion on a website that claim's the number one position in Google! Try it, type into Google the following search term and see what you come up with: England UK Accommodation - Yes, Pictures Of England.com in first and second place!! England is seen and loved by our American forum members as simply the very best place on earth for it's green and pleasant land. So visitors would continue to see the website as a place to look for information on planning their vacations. Just checkout the Guestbook if you doubt me. I have started this thread without the knowledge of Chris and Sarah so I say to them if you don't like it delete it - I won't be offended! The website costs are forever rising, and you could do with some more financial help couldn't you? |

I fear something like that if what you purpose came to be Ron. Although, I am not insensitive to Chris and Sarah's plight in funding POE. There must be a better way. I'd even be willing to pay an annual fee for access to the forums if that would help. |
