I understand (as saying earlier)how everyone feels about this,I hope we do get tougher laws to fight the ones who abuse the care givers in this country

Thanks to everybody for your comments, I don't quite know where we shall end up just yet, but needless to say I am on the case and they have picked the wrong one this time!

Hello Lyn G I agree with you, most places/homes are not bad and it is a real shame that the press focus on the bad,not the good...I guess it sells. The home I work at is brilliant and I am probably biased but hey, the staff and the residents are amazing and there is always something going on..laughter, singing etc is heard alot and thats mainly the staff haha.

Ron the expensive of living in a home is dreadful, it is better to have nothing at all because they will take it all anyway. The carers pay is low as is the nursing pay, it is a rewarding job but a good wage would be the icing on the cake.

Regarding your brother in laws home, that is disguisting and should not happen!

You would never make it shoulder to shoulder down the corridor of The Close, they are really narrow (pre-war I think).

Yes, I know the place Sue H, I've been in there. Not the one that I am talking about though. You would know this place also but not 'The Triangle' either!!
