That's just the way it is Krissy. Unfortunately there's a lot of wrongs that will never turn into rights. S**t happens and nothing I or anyone can do will turn back time and change it. We live in a material world where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer......money equals power, power equals greed, greed equals money etc etc. It makes a very unfair and vicious circle. I don't expect multi millionaires put up with the crap my mum had to, but that's just the unfairness of our society I'm afraid.

Hi Andy,

It is a sad thing all around i suppose,When Ron started this thread,i spoke of my grand father who died in 2005 at 92,

we were lucky,we were able to keep him in his own home with in home care,I wish there was some way to make it that way for anyone who would want to do so..

Hi Rick, Thank you so much for saying that, it means the world to me as I’m sure it does Emma also. There are some really excellent carers out there who do a fantastic job, I always think if you treat people how you would like to be treated yourself then you can’t go far wrong.

Hi catherine, sorry to hear about your dad..

It is scary how common it is.. and how many people have horror stories about homes, I do hope it does get sorted one day... It will take along time.

Thanks Emma. I appreciate your good wishes. Is that a puppy you are holding?

Just been watching the news tonight about Millvina Dean now 96, the last survivor of the Titanic disaster, having to auction some of her personal Titanic items to help pay for the cost of her nursing care. I felt so sorry she considered she had to do this, which understandably, then got world wide interest at the auction in Wiltshire today.
