I can actually name lots of famous people here, but I will start the thread with C. S. Lewis at the age of ten!

I once paid 2/6 for Mr Pastry’s autograph at a bonfire night in Battle. It turned out not to be Mr Pastry. That was in 1955 and I’ve never got over it.

I've sand at the Albert Hall twice as part of a choir.

How is Dudley? I've been out of England for so long I'm out of touch.

Met Rupert Davies (aka Maigret the detective) once in Venice way back in the 60's, he was sitting outside a cafe eating his breakfast.

Lost me there Sue!!! He won a competition a few years ago to be the voice of the council pay line. He was on local tele and radio. That's the nearest I have got to a claim to fame but Paul did manage to find the answer on google when I used it in 2 truths and a lie!

Not really a claim to fame, but I once had afternoon tea at The Savoy in London.  We were in The Winston Churchill Room, (the Lord Mayors show was going by at the time) and after the tea we had champagne and chocolates.  Then our host took us round The Savoy for a looksee - the posh bedrooms, kitchen area etc.  And all free because we knew our host.  It was well good.

Thought you might hit us with Neil Diamond Sue, or is that to come?

A few more from me....Donna Summer (opened up Holy Trinity Church for her. She signed a business card of mine which reads 'To Ron, the C S Lewis Tours man....Love Donna Summer').

Third Day of course which is where the legendary Ron Brind came from!

Gene Wilder, personally took him to the Randolph Hotel in Oxford!

Colin Dexter...author of the Morse Novels. He lives here in Oxford and what a great guy!

I've got loads more but hey, I'm waiting for you.
