You can read a small bit about it here http://www.timesequence.com/shadows.htm

Aviation is a big interest of mine, I was a helicopter technician many moons ago. You'd love the area I live in, there's loads of old RAF/ USAF bases around here in East Yorkshire and in North Lincolnshire, just across the Humber estuary. |

At the first LOTR party (Fellowship of the Ring) I got to hold two of the Oscars won by Richard Taylor got a kiss from him too . They were very heavy. At the third party, Return of the King, they won 11 (or 13?) Oscars and they bought them all over to the party and celebrated with us, their loyal fans instead of heading to the celebrity Oscar parties (Elton John, Vanity Fare etc.). Ah, they were good times VERY GOOD. Oh yeah and I've met all of the Osmond's, and almost Neil Diamond (just for you Ron). Met Jonathan Ross, who was very pleasant albeit crude. |

I think you will one day Andy. The human side is very touching; after 60 years daughters who never knew thair dads finally finding out what happened to them; ditto other family members who only knew they died in a bomber crash, and similar. It's also how my Madingley Military photos came to be on PoE, after laying flowers at various graves on behalf of families in the US. Plus, of course, the friendships that were made during my and their research etc. The tears at times that had come back in emails you could scarcely believe, Andy. A lot because at long last, people here have remembered their familiy that died over here, and now they're not forgotten about. |
