In truth I hated the southern accent and worked very hard not to pick it up. Although, if I am honest I sometimes catch myself saying certain words in a typically southern way. LOL! I have lived in Boston for fourteen years now but I've never picked up that accent either. Most people think I am English believe it or not. Well, except for the British who can tell right away that I am from the US, though most can't quite from which region. |
