I've seen a lot of "funny expression" while reading on the forum; they don't really fit in the joke catagory so I thought it might be fun to start a thread of funny expressions that you grew up with. If you happen to know where the expression originated feel free to post that as well.

Well, that just dills my pickle! (When something has happened that upsets a plan)

If brains were dynamite, he couldn't blow his nose.

He squeezes a quarter so tight the eagle screams. (A penny pincher)

Ok, here's another one. It's a bit naughty but it comes from a guy in the UK so don't blame the Dutch (again). He mentioned it during a teamspeak on the game World Of Warcraft after sneezing into the microphone.

"That wasn't a sneeze, it was a brain-orgasme"

What a fun thread. I've got tons of good ones that I heard around the house as I grew up.

Of course we must keep them family friendly.

I'll post a few to start with and comne back as I remember others.

I've already posted Love a duck and kiss a chicken in another thread.

If you're at a party and it's boring or some other boring activity you can say I've seen more life up a tramps vest (tramp meaning vagrant, vest meaning undershirt).

Well I've gone to putney on a pig.

Now't so odd as folk
