Posts: Joined: 1st Jan 1970 | I'm content most of the time, John. I am glad to see each new day and try not to moan about the weather. A dead person can't see the rain running down the window. I love going for walks in the countryside, come rain or shine. Family and good friends make me happy. I'm happy when I am painting, though it often ends in the bin. I am optimistic by nature, and whenever a problem is getting me down my favourite words are 'Tomorrow is another day'. Courtesy of Scarlett O'Hara.

The days that I don't want to get out of bed are almost non existent, although I have had them. I think, for me, I have an underlying joy which isn't dependent on external circumstances, and I think that's related to my faith. I have literally prayed my way out of feeling down. One of the things that helps me be happy is to concentrate on the good things in my life, for which I feel very blessed, and not dwell on the less than perfect. I think about the vast majority of the world's population that would trade places with me in a heartbeat. I think any unhappiness I feel is probably the restlessness we all feel to be caused by the drudgery of daily living. I still have reqrets and doubts, but no fear. And I feel blessed in so many ways - good family, great husband, wonderful friends (including all of you).
