I don't think it would scare off our patrons, for it's quite an historical village pub; one of the oldest in the West Country, and was a coaching inn from the days of the stagecoaches before the railway arrrived, when the London stagecoaches would stop off for the passengers and a change of horses. I think our interior decorator might like to bare this in mind, with the dining room being the former stables, and during the Civil War, it was a Parliamentarian strong hold below the near-by castle, during the seige of 1643.

We would definitely have to acquire some artifacts then, Paul. They could hang on the wall amongst Ray's ducks.  lol

Very good, Paul, especially for so early in the morning.  It's too late at night now for me to think of anything, but maybe tomorrow.  Since you're on a roll, how bout a limerick about the fair young maiden, Upoetia?

Hey Cathy! Come on and weigh in with your ideas for this fabulous place. Smile

Oh! I know. We could have a ladies night where all the ladies who come dressed as the Maiden Upoetia get free drinks for the hours between 11:PM and midnight, the hour during which she allegedly committed suicide. Paul, can you verify the approximate time during which the lady met her demise?
