No, no i don't, we are overcrowded, if it wasn't disease it would be war. Think what it would be like if we carried on growing unstopped like we have, think 50 years ahead!!  living longer more babies!!  we wouldn't be able to sustain ourselves!! we are already looking for other planets!!  I suppose its only like any animal finding other food/resorces, but just on a bigger more destructive scale! but still, we have alienated ourselves from nature, and every now and then nature just comes round and gives us a slap!

The flimsy paper masks do not stop virus as you say Jason... only a properly fitted N95 or equivalent will be effective..so when I see on tv, the authorities handing out those blue masks... to hordes of public...its only a panacea to prevent fear & panic... violence, looting...and anarchy. The silly masks give people a FEELING that they are somehow in some kind of control.. reality is....Phase Four (WHO)

Krissy, virus and bacteria are what we are made of...organisms that evolved out of the muck of universal chemistry from the BIG BANG and opportunistic cells...we are simply part of the crust of earth's life that needs to be sloughed off now and then...like a bush fire... we've dot dot dot our ozone ( green house effect)and agricultural possibilies with insecticide, polluted our streams..built roads over ancient migratory trails of bison, bear and elk...ad infinitum...

The mechanics of effective disaster are linked with stressors such as war and economic depression..overcrowding and for one point among countless dot dot dot~ ups.....ethically rotton farming...I just paid $5.46 for a dozen brown eggs, free range, organic...because I will not buy and eat eggs from chickens that were fed garbage, antibiotics and lived 3 in a tiny wire box.

To counter the attack by unseen viral enemies...the Mexicans are parading a plaster/wood statue of a dead guy stapled to a cross, ( not used for this purpose for 100 years or so....as if that will actually fix things..).may as well revisit medieval practices of keeping a 'nosegay' under the chin  so the stench of rotting corpses is allieviated...

I like the Florentine intellectual's notions....skip town for the hills and make merry, write poetry ~ and don't let anyone in the gates who is singing 'ring around the rosy'.
