All related to Mexico visits.

Why are people still flying, it only takes one contaminated victim to step on a plane and as they are breathing recycled air during the flight, anything can happen given that there is a seven-day incubation period. my advice, avoid large groups of people aviod travel if you can and be prepared. stay in and look at Poe lol

Michael, the scuttlebutt on this morning's tv  (Canadian Broadcasting Corp.)is a tentative THINKING of closure to borders( US )... and banning flights to and from Mexico. As I write ( 8.14 am PT ) I am listening to  a Geneva conference rep. suggesting phase 5 may be in place  " as things evolve"

Ruth, I hope you are feeling better now, and keep your immune system strong....at the very least, we ( all) can bolster our internal defences with positive pro-active decisions.... diet, rest, emotional health, and solitude... get the N95 masks and start wearing them if you intuit H1N1 active in your area. Admit no ill persons into your space and refuse to attend public gatherings. I see that Air Canada has extended their period of time for changing flights until June 1...so possibly there is going to be a crest or peak of infectious cases and a  subsidence. Today's Geneva conference comments included various scenarios.... possible early fade-out of this H1N1 virus ( Swine Flu ) OR because there is growing alarm to implement World Health Organisation Pandemic guage to Phase 5 ( quieted for now ) because of the rapid increase of human to human transmission and cases confirmed.

Thats the trouble with modern day travel, in days gone by,  people traveled by ship they set off from foreign ports back to england, say from the far/middle east or africa. if they had borded the ship with a fatal disese, it would have incubated and took its toll before they got to the bay of biscay (between Portugal and France) and the corpses would have been buried at sea. now its a few hours flying and incubation only prooves positive days later after contaminating others on the mainland.sounds selfish but it worked.

Jason...have you got access to Tamiflu for yourself? Oseltamivir phosphate 75 mg X 2 daily for 7 days...good idea to get a script in advance for first responders.
