His bio did ring a bell; went to Canada aged 5 and returned when 21 and was on the pirate radio ship, Radio London with the late Kenny Everett. Tomorow, I'll be going by where he was born in Herts., 1942.

Tony Gillam also goes back a few years after broadcasting to his neighbors, moved onto UBN---the United Biscuit Network in a biscuit factory; not quite pirate radio but it was a start !

maybe a little of topic but on about radio stations,i remember asa kid we would listen to radio luxembourg every night we had no tv them days we got our first tv in 1956 but we had a good collection of records dating back to the 40s/50s also we had an american station called   afn  that played all the american big bands --happy days never to come back..
