I got 2 photos this morning but seem to have lost all inspiration at present and very tired by midday. Cannot really say "lunch time" as food is of no interest. You and Anna really have had it a long time. So whooping cough is only a theory, has that been dismissed now ? Edited by: Mick Smith at:29th June 2011 16:38 |

Despite thinking I was better, I had to visit GP yet again. Told them I felt I was being fobbed off having had no tests whatsoever, not even temperature or blood pressure taken. Because of ongoing throat problems I asked for throat scope and/or blood tests, chest x-ray etc to be told 'there's a lot of it about'. Got yet another appointment Monday with my regular doctor. All this after three lots of antibiotics, initial diagnosis whooping cough bug, then Pharyngitis, then back to whooping cough! What has it been like? Cough, cough, cough with what appears to be a throat obstruction, can't swallow easily, can only breathe in with great difficulty (through nostrils) because throat seems to close over. Lay down in bed and the coughing begins, try to sit up quickly, roll over trying to get your breath, face unbelieveably distorted as you gasp for air. It got to the stage where I didn't want to lay down, and in fact slept 'on and off' whilst propped up in a chair downstairs. Anna has been suffering longer than me (since end of April in fact) but appears to be just about in control, still coughing though! Hope this makes you feel better Mick but really not funny is it?

Sure that ours is based on a bad cold but why both of us felt a terrible "burning pepper" in the throat is strange. The burning only lasted for 24 hours, now its just a bad sore throat. Trying to breathe in during a coughing fit was scary. The coughing comes without warning. Todays news. HM Govt advisor says the elderly are causing the cash problem. Fuel allowance should stop and we should pay for NHS care, to say nothing of pensions. As a real gentleman Ron will you say "after you Sir" as we enter the gas chamber ? |

Isn't it odd that you get sick in summer tim?. I'm sure winter time used to be the time for catching 'flu or suchlike. Anyway, I really hope you'll be up and running soon, both of you. I hope the report about the elderly losing benifits is just some fool sounding off because for that to happen would be stupid. Who do they think spent their whole working lives paying tax and national insurance? Rather send the freeloaders back where they came from and honour the elderly I say. Have a good evening all. |

It's hard for the senior citzens or anyone on an fixed income. If they would stop holding us back, in earning money...it would greatly help though. I just read an artcle of an census taken that showed less people now have "toliet" services in their houses, esp in some of the hard hit econmoic areas of eastern Oregon. Most likley using camping equiptment....dump it out otherwise...or going back to "out houses". Healthwise I've been fighting this gout/shingles/cyst/nerve problem for about six months now. I made an little leeway in it recently with an old Vetenary cure from 40 years back. You do know at one time animal "Vets"... use to have more to have more medical education then an regular General Practioner doctor in this state. So far they have picked up several people "faking" being in the medical field...and one was an surgeon of all things...for an big downtown Portland Hospital. I wonder if he saw to it he had an family emergency or some such when it came time for him to do the surgery...so another doctor stepped in for him maybe. Let everyone else do the work, while he got the money. Crazy world out there these days. Ron, have you by any chance had your body tested for an lack of vitamins or minerals? About the only I have not suggested to you so far is the "breathing" excerises to build up your lung muscles. It also gets more air into them at the same time. Or if yor not in the mood...lay in front of an open window and breathe in lots of fresh air...but not cold air. If you have been bed ridden, you may need the muscle toning. Start out slowly also...and build up. Whistle daily at Susanaha Reid...it might help..LOL. Hubby is taking off an extra couple of days from this three day weekend coming up over July 4th. Though none of us around here can afford to go anywhere these days...ought to be interesting what happens. City came out yesterday and marked up the nieghborhoodfor the underground cable lines to be replaced. They should bill the other cable company for messing them up to begin with. I don't understand all the marks though as to my house...you can "see" where the line goes into our house...and the box is directly across the street...straight line. Today's leadership. I went by my "ex" brother in-law's house...out in Eagle Creek...they have painted the house an beige color...but it's up for sale and empty...it has been more empty ever since he passed on... then it has with anyone living in it I think. No one has done anything to it to make it attractive looking either in the landscaping around it. MIght have something to do with it all. No one has broken thorugh the dining room area into have the garage and built it in fo ran bigger dining area...then put up an carport out front either. it would greatly increase the inside of the house. I wonder why none of the kids want to buy it back also. Itmay be as I thought...your buying the house only if you buy it and it does not include the land it sets on...in that case...bad deal. His in-law's use to own the land and they subidvided it...I think. If they legally could do that in the county land laws. Place my kids are renting is much the same..and the same county. I must get going for now. Astrologer "Bev" over in earthboppin says nasty times coming up perhaps. Starting with the July 1 partial eclipse....which has some bad connotations possibly as to death and sudden issues coming up and people's "emotions". The rioting going on over in Greece fits the bill in what she says. But also comes tropical storm "Arliene" hanging off the east of Mexico and strengenthing also...perhaps the first hurricane of the season. Talk to you all later on..have an good day everyone! |
