I eventually found some travel post cards and sent them out though. You have to know the tips I guess in how to send them out so they aren't so expensive. I find letters/notes are not so expensive to send occasionally. Some people I heard from, others I don't know they had arrived...unless mentioned here. My friend and I use to do this... and I keep letters and lovely thoughts to re-read occasionally from her and others. I have her little book of poems she sent me..in...1971...called the "Beautiful in life"....first page...."Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us...or we willl find it not...Ralph Waldo Emerson. My mom's cousin...guess she would be my second cousin...would pop off an note card while traveling into town on the bus system and then send them before she left town in an mail box...she found that easy to do and kept her busy at ther time on the bus using what would be spare time in her day. Stayed with me my entire time I was pregnant with my son, having also lost her mother in youth from TB....my mother passed away the year prior....she said that she knew how I must feel in ways... back then. It was nice...opening up that note card and reading, "How you feeling today kiddo?...taking care of yourself and the little one?" Hope your having an wonderful day...so pretty and sunny today here...flowers are blooming profusely this year...must go..keep in touch!...Call soon...Pat. I sent her an tape for an conversation one time of my son at Christmas...we taught her how to hold her fingers to say "Love" in sign language...when he was one and half...maybe older. Been so long ago. He had another birthday the other day. Hope to do something on that this weekend. And so it is...another weekend coming up. I have much to do...my lab test has me going into "chartwork" on my health for 3 months again....hum. Anyway I have to get some graph paper today for BP readings. Groceries of the right kind I'm out of..so need to do that also. Then I can start it all on Monday morning hopefully. So be good and have an good weekend... chat some later on. |

I know postcards were sent to me that never arrived - I do hope whoever has them will cherish them! and that they received mine. Perhaps it is a good idea to put a note in an envelope maybe it will reach it's destination! If Gonul doesn't pick this up I will send you her address and send yours to her. Have a great day! |

As its a holiday weekend in the UK the weather forecast is not good. Will wait and see what happens, may go tomorrow instead. Have a good day. |

With long weekends in US of A and UK I hope you all have lots of time to spend on POE and looking forward to seeing you all dropping by. Perhaps those of you who haven't had a chance to organise for your Premier Membership could do it this weekend and help to ensure POE's continued existence. |
