I treid to look up that hopp pain killer on thenet and didnt' find it yesterday. No wonder everyone likes thier ale though if it's an pain killer...just it's loaded with to many calories.

I planted my English Strawberries...called "Breton" yesterday and my Native American Starwberries...callled "Sequioah"...plus one more variety...majority were everbearing type plants...produce all summer long. I had 34 plants to plant.  Plus I planted some more panies. Working toward the garden...have some things to transplant in it before I can get it ready for the veggies plants. Some of my herbs are growing great guns where I don't need them to be growing. I have until this weekend before the showers return supposedly. Nice yesterday but an cold chill to the air....suppose to be warmer today. So best get to it I guess. Have an good day!

Well, I went out to water in all the stuff I'd planted and lo and behold. insect sex orgy going at my patio table...I bounced them off with the water hose and "Baptisted" them at the same time...they have to be good little "stink" bugs now. Spring has sprung!

Jackie the most popular strawberries that the farmers use to grow in the fields around here was the Quinault type...they cost more...there is but one major crop coming in at an time....so you have plenty to freeze if you'd like or to make jam.  There's about five different varities right now...I don' t know if I've ever had Sequioyha berries before...but do know they are everbearing....everbearing means you need more plants for an handful all the time. But they work great for me and the little kids...one reason I planted them around in front of the trampoline. Yes, I use to raise things just for the kids to wash off with the hose an eat...particualry baby carrots. There is nothing like finding an ripe berry and "first guy" there gets it. They do this with my blackberries also...use to with my seedless grapes at one time also.It was something they use to do if I wasn't home right away when they got out of school...go raid my garden...because some of this stuff stayed in it all through autumn and winter if it held up...and your correct, that's what I have right now...swiss chard...to cook it Jackie..cut it down and off the bottom at the stem...bring it in and wash it and then take off the red rib it grows on, down the length of the leaf. After that you can cook it, like spinach...or eat it like an salad with other greens, or add it to soup...at the last minute. Weight watcher's old program book has three receipes...using Swiss Chard.. an variation of Chinese Scallops...Kale n'Cheese Bake, variation using Swiss Chard instead, and Swiss chard with pine nuts and Raisins, most likely an Salad...it gives you an idea of how to use it...very simliar to spinach. They have an new "rainbow" varitety also you can grow in your flower beds/pots... the stalk rib is red, yellow or orange in color...leaves still green. I wasn't sucessful in growing it and I think because it needs to be in part shade during the day...or else the ground was to dry for it to grow properly..it's an cooler weather crop. Can't do any more outside until I get some help from hubby in cutting out an small tree trunk....and then rotilling up the area. You people over there have the new colored tomato cages in the stores as of yet...I saw red, yellow, blue, orange today at Home Depoe. I could see where they would fit in nicely amoung colored flowers around the tomato plant in an front or side flower bed. I guess I go for now..hi there rusty ruth, Catherine and Richard...andanyone else out there I might of missed...talk later on.

PS...This Boston Marathon kid..reminds of the the Grand Jury Tria lI was in downtown Portland...there was no doubt he murdered his half sister...stabbed her 17 times. We were not there to judge his guilt..it was cut and dry the evening he did the crime...what we were there was to rather he deserved the death penatly based on rather he "flipped out" to do this in the first place or not. This guy mind you had absoultely no sympathy from the authorities. It took us sometime to look over his record...but something came out that none of them had mentioned to us in court...while he was in jail...and in the state hospital, he entered a drug addict...and was made to go "cold turkey" in breaking the addiction by hiself. We determined that the night he

did the crime..he flipped out. His dad all but kicked his butt out after

his mother died in an car accident as an baby, he claims his fatehr mmolested him to "teach hiim an lesson" while he was "high" one night..he grew up like an "baby" tranisite. He went tot household to household to anyone that would take him in . When to got old enough his dad took him back...he was on drugs..he got him on drugs. By then even the dad had been in jail.  He had an grilfriend when he started making good money with drugs...she had an child...his father moved in an took over for him as her husband. Threw him out on the streets...they had two more kids. His father found him one time living in his car near an Shopping Mall...he offered him his driveway...they kind of made an attempt of an father/son relationship until his dad found out he had Cancer. He felt the three kids needed help ...his dad thought otherwise  Found ways to pick on him and threatened him if he didnt' do what he wanted him to do....and finally the night he decided to kick him out...he simply just flipped...I don' tthink he was killing his little half sister..he was next in tears just talking about her. I think the person he was really killing was his father...or attempting to. He doesn't really remeber other then he'd tell you...yes, I killed her. WE were down there everyday for better of three months in court all day listenign to all the past life he had and those he dealt with in it. News cameras also. In the end we decided he flip into insanity momentarily....the judge said that if he put him back into the regualr jail...he'd probably run into old drug dealers he might know...they did't' want to put him in total isolation...as otherwise he was fairly now sensible.  So the judge put into an jail hospital...private room....ankle braclet. He was still guarded coninually and would be for some 20 plus years. But if he was in good behavior eventually he would be able to help the staff in various positions...and get soem badly needed education and go to the Library. In short, he was at the time as dangerous to society as is this Boston Marathon kid...and he expected the worse...at sometime or another everyone had deserted him in ways...or so he thought. He himself never understood what he did that was so wrong from the day he was born onward..just he was there for the punishment in life in some way or another....and about the only thing he could really count on in his life also. Kind of sad..guilty by reason of survival in ways. This kid kind fo reminds me of him..and so young...our world needs to stop and think what it is doing to these young kids with the violence in the world. Just one of many things that gets me to say...stop the drugs. Don't tax them and think they will go away because they cost more...stop them point blank. Let it be known your going to do so also. In any way possible. True some might need an clinic to help them and monitor them off them, but don't ever give in and say they are allowed for an second. Show mercy, but don' t feed the addiction. Now I go.
