Looks like Autumn or winter outside...lost my cherries and barely hanging on to my peaches...due to massive explosion of some kind of bug and blight. WE picked up some much needed rain, but can't do anything outside right now..Scouts have Memorial Day "Flag Plant" tomarrow at Williamette National Cemetary.

New book out...called Buck and Wart...Kindle Edition of 96 pages..$2.99. Available on Kindle at amazon.com. By J. Wayne Fears and J. Craig Haney.  It's an composite of letters written back and forth between two freinds..lifelong ones. They were raised in Alabama, during the Great Depression, Wart hits the rails west and hoboes north where he wins an Alaska roadhouse in an Seattle poker game The book review says that it's something you would unwrap in an attic ..but bring your flashlight or candle because it's an hard bit of Americana hard to put down just because the sun sets.  It is written with insight, authenticity, and gentleness. It's like being in the corner as an kid an listening to two old friends talk...covering an bit of everything.

DWTS surprised me last night and didn't in ways..because Val had such an young partner...they truly equaled each other's talent in ways. To me, Derek's last dance with Kellie is what changed things perhaps. I hope we see "Zen" in other things with her talent also. So on to the X-factor here sometime soon...I read today Simon has picked his new judges now.

I keep this one short for today...I feel like sleeping with the weather as it is..have an good day everyone.... Ping pong drip drip.

Only a week away from the end of May and you are still not able to plant yet Rick?  What a cold hard place you live in!

Yeah, Rick, I finally heard the people up at Govt Camp on Mt. Hood on the news say they hope this is the LAST spring snow so they can go on to summer also. We got an inch of rain the last 48 hours and it was all snow up above the 3,000 foot level in Oregon in the northern half of the state. I might add, it does make everyone sleepy. But I'm working on my son's birthday tomarrow now, while they go to the Plant Flag. I went there an good 20 plus years in an row, and then I felt as if she had reincarnated again..so haven't been going..along with my health issues bothering me also. Last time I saw my mother was when my father passed away. Last time I saw my dad was about three days afterwards and I asked his soul to be taken to heaven, and sins forgiven and seemed to get an heavenly reply on that one. Since we stay in the same family and associates lives for four times as we move on in our soul growth..I figure I'll know them if I run into them again on the physcial plane..with an different body. You know all this is not what I've been taught...what I've learned inmy own near death expereinces and healings over the years.

I was upset spenidng $9 for lottery tickets the other day to have my brother come over and say he bought $100 worth of them. I said to him, you know "Oregon" never wins any national big lotteries...at least I've never known them to. We are lucky if we win couple million in an state lottery. They do everything they can so we don' t have enough money to spend ot buy those tickets also. Winnin gthis last lottery for our state an me would of been an "God send" so as to say...this morning they said Lane county is about to declare bankruptcy without some kind of financial help. Joseph Lane was Oregon's first state govenor...he is an spin off the Lawson family and that of Chief Lackey out of MIssouri. He is one of them that Norma and I were looking into to see if our William Lawson out of Kentucky was part of his family. He si not the first Lawson Govenor out here, as Tom McCall's mother was Dorothy Lawson. She would like to know where he ended up at...as he simply comes up "missing" back there and I susgested maybe he was the one in Austrailia that laid the first road from teh coast-lin eup into the hills. They were both about the same life time era.The "Chief Lackey" buried on the Nisqually River in Washington State I believe is the one that was named after my generational grandfather..William E. Larkins. Itwas said that the child was born and the first person that the Cheif saw was my grandfather...perhaps baptising him as an minister also..but that chief was an Warm Springs Reservation chief...not the one raised by the Cherokee's.

Well, day 3 of rain, but not to much right now, it will improve over the weekend...and everyone has three days off..the school kids four.  Everything mushroomed into growing also...I guess all the miracle grow fertilizer is doing its thing that I laid down just before the rain. I did my whole front yard you know. Grass, trees,flowers... everything. I go for now...have an good day...I'll be getting an birthday cake ready..be it strawberry shortcake or an chocolate cake or both.

OK...weather man said tonight....yesterday was record setting rain of May ever...and Mt. Hood at Timberline Lodge picked up 21 inches of snow the last two days and it's not done by any means. Anotherhuge huge red storm cell headed tonight into Oklahoma...and they just had an bridge span on major Freeway I-5 over the Skagit River in Washingtosn state collapse into the river with some carsalso.     Only freeway from Seattle into California. Big news in my part of the area right now. My hubby is out in this rain with my grandkids and daughter in-law trying to plant cemetary flags...pouring down rain.I guess some more of this bad Ju-ju.. as they call it... that they said would hit around the end of the month. Stay safe everyone!
