Ah, maybe a few better days and back into the 80's next week...just in time to fertilize the garden again from all this rain washing down in last week.

Ron..http://realestate.msn.com/8-homemade-lawn-and-pest-remedies......just to help you an bit.

Rick, you got any fish pubs around your area?,,,I liked going to Long John Silvers in the ole days when they had an "all you can eat" fish night. Kind of took care of the hankering for those fish and chips.Ours also use to serve chicken as well as fish fillets. I like fried Shrimp, cod, haibut, crab meat, lobster, tuna fish, salmon, and clam chowder. My sister...zilch on all of it. My favorite meal..."tips and tails"..sirlion beef tips and lobseter tail medalions with butter and au jus sauce dip.. smaller baked potatowith the works on top.. and an scoop of rice pilaf under the medialions, garlic toast...green salad, and an very complmentary chilled wine..and those flaming cherries...on fire...Cherries Jubialee...the restruant was like an huge gallon ship inside and sat on the river's edge with an view into the city lights. Moderately priced and serive was excelleant. Such were the days. Music or an comedian on weekends in the lounge. All our good steak places over here seem to be folding up and leaving us.

Hubby at "Scouts" tonight...gonna seem like an short week also with the three day holiday this last weekend. Best get going for now....

Good morning....earthboppin.net...twek whatever survival board just posted an survival site of 954 other sites to down load on everything imanginable to surivial or do-it-yourself, But I tell you...those to bike riders in the UK,,the book I was reading that took and advanced military survival course sure had an lot of interesting things to say about the subject...things like it's not just having an tent...but onethat has an branch system above it strong enough an wild animal could stand on the roof and not collapse it all down...they also had an few things to say about being "kidnapped" by other, possibly terorists also. With the fact that many places are out lawing guns, it's something to pay attention to I suppose. Many of the latest bookson the subject of living off the land are now into teaching how to take about anything in the way of old tools and making them into knives for various projects. Particualry old rusty metal files like you might find in an old barn or workshop area.

Sun is coming out after an very wild "windy" session today...I can about imagine the Carnival going on down on the water front today with people in rides and winds around 30 mph. You know, those kind that whirl around toward the outside of the ride with people in the cars...I bet they are getting thier dollar's worth if they didn't just kind of all spin around each other into an big massive glob from the winds. Saturday night is the "Starlight Parade" in downtown Portland.

I go for now..have an good day everyone.
