My Native American totem animal is an Eagle...and my life is like that of an Eagle also...I had an friend that like "Owls" also..Val rae was her name, though for an while they were popular in crafts and pictures. People were doing macreme "Owls" out of twine.  Just everyone seemed to have something that was an owl back then.I see there are an lot of things out this year that have an owl on them

I'm just really glad that someone chose an Eagle for our national bird rather then the Turkey the Ben Franklin suggested because they were running all over the fields back in those days. Eagles are birds that like to perch up high and watch things going on around them. They to are an endangered bird and protected now.  Our house where we live now has two Eagles that paired off many years ago, but the last housing project, I think they are moving more out of the neighborhood now. Closer to the Sandy River and the old growth forrest in it. No fields, no food for them these days. They have to go where they have something to eat.
