Ron, only if they themselves will understand the message. To do anything you have to start within your own humane heart.. and go outward within your own surroundings and family and then into the world. To any new beginning you have to destroy the old...but you you have to do that in  an humane way and make room for the change based on realistic goals. We were told the main motivator to change was the person seeing the" personal benefit" to the change themselves.Henceforth the reason for big CEO bonuses..but sooner or later it's impossible to keep it up...like an doggie bone...you run out of resources to appease the dog eventually. the dog now "fat" an his health not he best from over-indulgence is unhappy...and should be..he has left in his wake someone that went without so he could have  ALL the doggie bone treats to himself. Not only that but he took getting doggie bones for granted..and really doesn't think about the way to earn them..over demanding the need be met. No, our animals are much like us today...in many aspects. An trainer would tell you to only feed the treats for performance and only enough to satisfy the animal to look forward to getting them daily from the performace done correctly. The trainer would tell you to show the dog unconventinonal "love" with and without getting snacks...so he understands where they come from and from doing what, but not as an substitute for "caring" over-all. That certain idealisms are expected for everyday living...they include cleaniness, potty area for exclusive use, his personal spot...food bowl for everyday and somewhat an ususal routine with excerise. The dog needs the command to sit or stay without earning an treat everytime after puppyhood. The dog needs to develop it's own personality that fits in with everyone's life style compatablity. People are the same, but as people we should be able to do the last on our own. Animals are like people in that each and everyone has one talent better then another and needs to develop the answer to being in the best place at the right time to expose the world to their unique talent. Who doesn't love an police dog that hunts down an finds an lost child?...we all do. For the humor in this watch an old black and white movie where Doris Day I think it is gets ahold of an manual..".How to train your dog" and uses it on her husband or boyfriend...until he finds out any way. It was funny as an movie, but made the point of things quite well.

I just had" toby" whom runs on top of and over everything at his house, barking most the time...and we have had words over that before...go running off upstairs before I could catch him...he ran straight into my male cat..whom took one look at him and slapped him on the head with his paw...toby learned the hard way..with an big "ouch" to not run up the stairway without being allowed to begin with. We will take him out for an walk later on to expel his  "nervousness" as an chiuaua....he has taught  Fenway to bark now...and I hope to stop that somewhat also...she needs more food and personal attention...as toby grabs the spotlight in what he does most the time.He needs to relax more. Perhaps an warm quick rinse and wrapped up in an towel later on also...and held. We will have these dogs for the next four days. Bailey who is as as big as me if I laid down on the floor is use to going underneath the kids beds in their bedroom...I made an comforter on the floor, but she's already been in my hubby's room looking for the impossible...an way to get under his bed, so she decided maybe she might go on top of it...which will have to stop. I put an coverd air mattress on the floor and when she gets use to it, she will find if much more comfortable and not as confining. She needs excerise also. Little at an time,  Baily an longer walk by herself and they can all play out in the backyard together at times...waiting for the weather to clear up now. I go for now.

Didn't you know...our politicans are smarter then us.... they think. I honestly think we use them because we really don' t have the timeto deal with these issues others make for us in life. But we pay them well, and they pay themselves well...almost to well at times. Did you know that there is not one Senator in Congress that is not an millionaire...and yet my sister in her food stamps was told she'd be getting $30 less an month.. When it gets bad enough...the poor people will steal it if it means survival for them. All the cops in the world are not going to make an difference if they need food to eat.

My kids took off on their mini-vacation after dropping the dogs off and I sent them along with Rice Crispy treats, small bottled Orange juice, fruit gelatin snacks and an bag of chocolate "Trick or treat" candy. They got past the Dalles just after this incident happened apparently and no one had as yet showed up....an trooper went to pull over an guy, who came out shooting...so the trooper shot back...the trooper went back into his car wounded to call for back up... the guy took off in his car....by the time they got to him, the trooper was sent to the hospital...but they found the other guy down the road on the side of freeway, slumped over his wheel "dead"and they said with three little kids in the car. Had my kids came any later they would of been stopped as they have both sides of the road closed down...they are trying to identify the fella killed...and the kids...investigate the crime.

I called my kids just an bit ago...they said that they were just about ready to pull into Spokane, Washington...about 30 miles away from their destination or less...and so far they have missed the over 4,000 plus lightening  strikes in eastern Oregon following them.  Suppsedly all that will be gone by tomarrow also. They sure did get off to an wild mini-vacation so far. Dogs doing fine, one little one got his head tapped by my cat though at the top of the stairs..he learned to slow down and don't go running every time the door is opened I guess. Hubby out at the kid's house now picking up mail and locking up their shed with an lock. We will be going back an forth as it is this weekend anyway. See what kind of days I have around my house, not expecting anything to be... but an normal day. It starts warming up again tomarrow. Kids's went to the Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho..it's both an ride/game type park, water park and has live entertainment..their reward for doing nothing over this summer in going anywhere.  They come back to an full schedule of work for all of them to do...until the Holidays.
