The cake is ususally one layer cut in half with some frosting in the middle of it....it's not an big cake. Kiind of an twist in getting away from making brownies for an bite or two of something lusicious. I did not eat any of it though...don't know if the kids did or not. My grandson's and their father could stand more calories..they are far from being even chubby in weight..and the boys are still growing...but us girl's need to be soothed once in awhile with chocolate also. I'm waiting for my sister in-law to wake up...so I can go over to her house. I don t think she returned my call last night. I don' tknwo where she goes to, but I think the reason why my brother gets broiled when he can't get ahold of her...it's like she leaves every evening not to be found or heard of for an while...she says she's always with relatives...I think he wonders if it's the truth.at times. But I agree to be housebound like an continual "shut-in" isn't the answer either. I'm making arrangements to go an help everyone get their carpet cleaned this weekend...My sister's apartment people ar elooking for an excuse to do her in possibly...claiming that her apartment isn't clean enough...it's so little though...her whole life is supposed to be organized in two small rooms...and she says it's being done to several other of the people there on low incomes. I guess they are literally dumping their posessions at the moment...in hopes they aren't kicked out with winter coming on. They do it and they got my "number" with people that I don' t care to know as to their cruelty to those less fortunate. If she had the money, she could rent an garage for her surplus items, but having no money is the problem. So I have no idea if I'm going to be cleaning up this babes apartment for her next renters or not...at my own expense. You would think that they would supply their renters with an rug washer, since this is an huge apartment complex anyway...so all they would have to buy would be the cleaning chemicals. Reember about when I told you they raised our property values for more property taxes....the school bond went down twice over last night...and so did every school bond up for election last night. As I said, they did this very communistically in forcing us to pay higher property taxes to begin with...they had better find out if the people have more income before THEY decide if we can fund them first.WE value education..but we have to have some place to live also. Forsome reason the "Have's" seem to think there' s no end to the money we can supply them..it's no longer the truth to reality. Take a look at Detroit...it's an empty town.... as people moved out of it...for the lack of jobs and money...they raised their car prices to high. I best get going for now...and pack this stuff up and into my car. So have an good day..it's raining here...saved by the grace of "God" though in what is left of the bright autumn leaves. I wanted to tell you that I felt like I was receiving an message from God going up to the sister in-law's funeral...with an detailed completely across the sky looking swan at one time and ducks in formation and flight traveling west when we got back to our area....they had this song called "I'll fly away" at the funeral and hardly anyone sang it...it was set to an record of music. Michelle was there and in her wheel chair...she looked so terribly bereaved, but it was her grandmother that was showing up to include her in an "family life" an few days mid-week before Lou passed on...and it was "Lou" that always saw to it she was included as an family member through all these years and well taken care of also. Now, I don' t know..as most of the family left have jobs to report to everyday...not the same as someone not working.I kept looking at this thing with the "birds" all the way there and back again though...as they were unusual "signs" to me. Even the "swan" was facing westward in the sky. Birds fly south this time of the year. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 02:50 on 7th November 2013 OK...need some clarification here...went to my thrift store shopping while my sister in-law slept in a bit this morning...and found this cup, with the design of an apple on it and it's flower below the fruit and it says on the bottom of the cup...Exclusively for Creative Tops...NorthHamptonshire, England..and the pattern of "Hooker Fruit"..fine China...but up by the apple, its says...The beauty of Kent.....W. Hooker del. 1819. So what is this all about...an fruit company back in 1819...in Kent maybe...or the apple variety from Kent. Possibly an history on the cup if anyone knows one? It's to modern made an design to be but an reproduction. Maybe it was an tourist item back then also. Just thought I'd ask. Alos picked up and small highly decorated tin box...with pictures of coaches in framesall around the box...it says...container made in western Germany...and stamped Klann Quality. Sometimes I look up things like these to see what I can find about them. Sometimes it greatly surprises me also. At one time I had an small cup and saucer that was stamped with the Royal arms of an German family..I suspect an table piece perhaps. Anyway..we got to shopping and didn't do the ornaments today..she said I looked tired and I feel tired in ways also, so going to watch TV an bit...talk later on this if you have anything on it. |
