They had 365 lightening strikes day before over the east side of Mt. Hood while I was eating our dinner on the news....but amid the grass fires/ little towns burnin gto the ground... there is rain in them also. We haven't had rain in an month of these hot temps over here on this side of Mt. Hood. Neighbors came home and left again for the beach to get out of it all and having to run fans and air conditioning. So she has one neighbor watering her plants for her and the rest of us on guard watching her house for them. Then she says she's coming back to plan her BBQ party before they go vacation in Hawaii in October. I told I thought she was making the most of their first year of retirement days. We are packed up for our overnighter...we should be leaving about the time they are coming back. My nieghbor "watering" told me to have an good time...she knows how much work I'm doing all the time any more. I hope to get some reading in while over there also, besides my book I haven't finished yet of Clive Cussler and his "Dirk Pitt" an kind of Indiana Jones type, I bought three books...one's on Shaman healing. Well, I just passed out an plate to my hubby with an BTL with an freshgreen pepper ring...and some potato salad and cranberry juice. He's been imbibing on cold beer now and then also as he works about the house...took out time yesterday to paly an round of golf locally...then took me out to breakfast. On vacation for an week, but is it ever going quickly. I talk to you all later on.Having computer problems...people been talking about that....I'm getting told I can not get on "google" because of an group policy of not paying by the server...whatever that means...but people been talking about "funny stuff" going on not allowing them access. Went to foxfire and had no porblems. |

It did cool down an little bit today... thunder clouds and rain in the southern half of the state headed eastward and an cooler low comes in from Cananda for us...still over 90 degrees today and supposedly tomarrow also though. He told me with the heat to make sure and lift my computer onto two books...pushed apart.. where the vents in the bottom could get plenty of air to them to the computer....Sheila in earthboppin.com posted an map under one of the earthwaves board on the hot weather...and you get an chance to see the 100 to 110 temperatures from the Dallas, Oregon to eastern Idaho area. This last week has broke all records across the western states for high temperatures. My animals have been suffering with their thick fur also...I picked him up and brought him inside and he laid down in the entry way on the cool floor with the fan going on up above him next to the air conditioner. I went outside this monring to see the young eagle flying over my littliest female cat...I grab her also before it could swoop down any lower and tossed her in the house also...turned on the sprinkler. I think he had designs to make her it's breakfast maybe...you know hubby don't think of these things, he's not here in the mornings to know no tto let them out until the animals aredone with feeding time. Mrs. Cornett first brought it to my attention when the parent eagle took off with one of the local red furred cats one morning...she was going around telling everyone...keep them inside until they are done in the morning feeding.... if you truly love your pets. I go for now I guess and wash one more washer load with some things in it to pack up and we will be out of here soon....with the other neighbors playing security guards and plant waterers in our area...as everyone returns in some ways also..one by one. I noticed the police driving by the other day..perhaps Randy callled them in to check things now and then also. hey came by my BBQ party the day I had t also. Didn't bother us though...just checking us out I guess. I go for now...talk later on.
