That's a great photo Phil. I don't believe we've met btw. Welcome to the POE family!

I think this is a particularly stunning shot by John Humphries.

Thanks very much Phil.  I was very lucky that day in that there was hardly a cloud in the  sky. It was  April 2007.  I hope you enjoyed  my other photos of this great cathedral.

Thank-you Diana for your welcome. Like you, I only joined the poe family in early 2008, but have not participated in many forums (although I have exchanged some banter with Ron Brind and Peter Evans: somebody has to keep them in check!). I agree about Lyn's photos of South Creake: they are great.

And Stephen, yes I have checked out your pics of Lincoln Cathedral: wonderful shots, of what looks like another superb English cathedral. I was in England in April 2007, but did not get to Lincoln, although we passed through Stamford and had a external peek at Burghley House before heading to North Rauceby in search of some of my wife's ancestors.

And to keep the ball rolling, here is another of my favourite pics (Royal Albert Hall and Albert Memorial)

Hi Catherine: thanks for your greetings. Ain't technology grand: that we can all communicate instantly even though we are separated by long distances. Whereabouts in the US are you?

I am in Baltimore, Maryland just north of the city in a suburb called Cockeysville. I love this technology. I have made so many wonderful friends on POE. Where in Australia are you? If you feel like it drop me an email and we can chat more.

Terrific shot from Jason though a bit scary for some.
