I use photoshop all the time, but i take photos in RAW so convert and put into photoshop, where i usually just increase colour saturation a little. But sometimes i go over the top, just because i want to, i enjoy seeing what it will look like, and sometimes i think it looks good! but i understand not everyone will, its just down to personal choice! the same as some artists use oil, some watercolour, some paint abstract, some real life scenes, and some do both! I think photoshop can just add a little sparkle/depth/warmth, that seems to get lost in the digital camera. |

I always think a photograph straight out of the camera lacks the impact you saw when you took the photo, the colours can become bleached out a little, the image obviously isn't in 3 dimensions, as your eyes pick up, so i just see it as giving a little of this impact back. Most of my shots are not fantasy, just slightly tweaked, they look similar out of the camera, i haven't moved anything about, or stuck buildings on etc... although i do sometimes when i'm messing!! but not on here! so on here i just do it to bring back some of the lost impact i saw when i took the photo, but has been lost in the camera! |

I think Jason's use of it is subtle and clever but I think sometimes over use can spoil natural colours and take away the essence of the shot. |

You have to have a good picture in the first place, you cannot make a bad photo into a good one. Now and again just for a change i will use photoshop to make three or four photo`s into one photo. Sometimes they work, sometimes not, never the less it`s good fun. |
