Ruth--as the Paddington to Penzance train stops here in West Berks, I'll give you a wave of the way through.  Last week, a steam train came through though. Not as fast as the Intercity trains. Needed water too at the water tower still here.

Doesn't the train to Cornwall go out of Waterloo, Paul?  And yes, do wave at us, unless you want to come with.  And speaking of accents, why is Berkshire pronounced Barksher?

No Ruth, It's Paddington, the old Great Western Rly, but tuern left at Reading or you'll end up in Peter's Wales.  Berkshire is pronouced Barkshire for the same reason clerk is pronounced , clark.  There's a Bershire accent too, and the Wiltshire one can be tricky to understand so of the older folk there.Marlborugh comes out as  Mulbrrrrrr.....

Yes, I do, Denzil.  Kiss

But speaking of baldy, I still don't know what color your hair is.  So go over to the weather thread and answer my question, OK?

Seems to me this is the thread for picking up chics !

Sorry Denzil, I mean girls, just in case you thought I was a pheasant plucker or something.

Truth is, I am a romantic fool and love all women, and the ones I have met so far are soooooooooo friendly. Sometimes I feel that I should never have got married, but then one learns so much about women from a good wife.
