Sunny but very cold in Michigan. The coats on the deer that roam outside our house seem particularly dense and dark this year, which means we are probably in for a nasty winter. No snow yet other than flurries--unlike our UK friends!

Please, please, please let it get above freezing, for just one day. I've got a piles of laundry that need to get done, and my pipes have been frozen for the past four days.

So a thaw is hoped for in the desert.

Right now it's 24 º F. That's the warmest morning we've had for a week. So it should get about freezing.

Minus 8C at 5 this AM going to work. Getting into town, none of the cars had any frost on them as usual.  Would look very pretty at sunrise in the countryside with the white landscape.  Snow forecast Tues onwards.

And one driver got their day off to a good start parking their car upside down on a roundabout.  Easier to go around it rather that trying over the top of it. me thinks.

It's very cold here but at least the sun is shining. Glad I don't have to go out.
