I am sure that Ron was trying to do his best to help POE, and would be most devistated if he thought he had hurt anybody. As you can see, I only had made one comment on this thread ( which I was not thanked for Paul) but your point Cathy is one I was trying to state. |

Nor have I found a camera manufacturer willing to give their pruducts away, so when in recent months---for one example of many---I wanted some of the best products Mr Nikon makes, it came with a £6,000 bill, and hopefully, it might reflect on the photos on the site too. Perhaps I worded it wrongly? As Ron will find out, if he didn't already know, I'm a man of my word, and some 450-ish photos have now been removed from the site, with about 30-odd left for one special reason or another. The other ones I learnt tonight seemed to have been pretty much worthless, or very little anyway. More fool me for wasting my time and money taking them. It won't happen again. I also emailed Cathy about her posting above as I thought she over reacted a bit. Ron didn't hurt me as so much told me to stop wasting my money taking photos for this site. Point taken. |

Those who can donate will, those who can't (for reasons they don't need to divulge), won't. Let us not get upset with each other, life is way too short.

We've enjoyed them for so many years now and no doubt so have lots of other people. Ron is a passionate man that is all, and he was clearly trying to do his best for his family, which we love him for. He will no doubt be as deeply upset as we are when he finds out this has happened, as he was simply trying to help. We sincerely hope you will reconsider contributing to this site, as your pictures will be greatly missed by us all. |

I hope we can all get back on track now. Like i said, this has all got out of hand when there was no need. I think it's time for one of Sue's group hug smileys to finish the thread off with! How about it Sue? We really are sorry all this got out of hand. Please can everyone get back to enjoying the site. |

POE is my family and I would be devastated to lose anybody on the sight or the sight itself. POE has gotten me through some really hard times and you all mean the world to me. I love you all so much that it hurts when things get out of hand. Each one of us is valuable in our own ways. It would not be the same to lose anybody! Sorry to be so emotional and passionate about things! I also want to add my personal thanks for all that you do. I know it can't be easy to keep the site going. If I had the means I would be sending in donations. Unfortunately my husband has control of the money which I am dependent on. But when I am able I will donate. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me. I really appreciate it. |

Thanks Wolf. I am sorry to hurt anybody. Just love everybody here more than you can imagine and don't want anyone to get hurt. POE is my family. I would be devastated to lose the site or any member for that matter. Sorry to be so emotional and passionate about it. It is time for Sue's smilies! |
Ron Brind Posts: 19041 Joined: 26th Oct 2003 Location: England | Posted at 08:17 on 9th October 2008 Well friends of POE, I seem to have upset a few of you so starting with Paul if I may. Firstly the intention was not to hurt anybody. My actions were honourable and needed (I thought anyway). Paul, I am sorry to read that you have removed even one picture from the site, but let me assure you I didn't leave you out of the 'thanks' list deliberately. I had been working at the PC for a long time between taking medication for a very painful condition, and simply just missed out your name. I am sorry if you felt offended, it was not my intention and I hope after you have been able to think about your actions, that you will start on the long job of re-submitting the wonderful pictures that have thrilled so many of us. You know, once the pics are submitted, we too have an amount of work to do to load them to the site, so give it some thought please and lets get back to what we had previously. I must admit that I thought you and I had a better relationship than what your actions have shown, with the words in the personal contact emails that we have exchanged. I would have thought you could have at least emailed me privately, but I know you work different hours to most so that may have had a bearing on it. Think about it Paul and show me that you are able to see my side of the difficulty, but either way POE still needs support. Thanks in anticipation Paul, Ron |
