I hope she gets the value plus if she has to sell it. Thank God she has those things to sell in order to continue her nursing care.

It's a very sad reflection on this country, that although GB has just siad 'we'll spend our way out of this recession' (hasn't he saddled the country with enough debt already?)  we still cannot look after our senior citizens properly after all they've done for this country.  It's to our eternal shame that care standards are so abysmally poor, although I accept that there are a great many who do their best within the confines of the system.

They reckon that his 'plan' for getting through the recession will leave the country in debt to the tune of £100,000 for every household.  I don't know about tune but I do know that's a lot of notes!  The man must be crackers!  Can we not send him back to Scotland?

Unfortunately, although people at the blunt end of it all (like you and me) know it's not the answer, the idiot brigade still rule!  And when do they ever listen? (that's a rhetorical question) although you can answer it if you want.

hi ron ,i am sorry for your brother in law, when i lived in england i made up the dosset boxes for patients with this illness, they are drugged up to their eyeballs just to keep them quiet and to make life easier for the staff.Being so drugged they slept most of the time, when awake they could not feed themselves and relied on someone to feed them,if this person was busy they didnt get fed properley. The home itself was clean, but when i used to drop off the tablets weekly i used to feel so sorry for these patients,it is no life being drugged up and plonked in a chair for the day.İf you have complaind to the home ,take my advice and get him moved to another place. My mother and father in law were in a lovely home ,they had no money between them but they were put in a bupa home ,the local goverment paid for this,it was a lovely place and they were well cared for, they told me it was like staying in a top hotel.Bupa homes take in so many pensioners without money if they have room.
